  1. Remember when we all didn't want Mike McCarthy? Boy those were the days.
  2. Just to update, Rhule's career record has now dipped to 0.294
  3. I don't think it is solely players. I believe it is also scheme that aids in our poor run defense.
  4. Yeah, we supposedly have an elite running back and OL that has a strength in run blocking. Why not just pound them straight out of the gate and set the tone? But, keep in mind that everyone keeps falling for this "Rhule wants to run the ball" poo but that isn't who Brady or McAdoo are.
  5. The difference is that the two in the thread title have a combined 4 games played in the NFL. Brown is a lot less excusable. There are ample reasons to think that Horn can clean up his tendency to hold and Icky can recover from getting beat like a snare drum by the best DE in the NFL. There isn't a lot of reason to think that Brown is suddenly going to become an elite(top 10) DT. That's a big problem.
  6. I do feel like this was just inevitable(him being fired after/during this season). I found it very odd when anyone argued that point.
  7. Yeah, but I also don't think this is a roster that was very well set up to win. Add the worst HC in the NFL, a dash of bottom third coaching staff and that isn't much of a recipe for success. I can't put a lot of this game on Baker, although he didn't play particularly well.
  8. Plus at least two of those snaps were DEFINITELY on Elflein. I think it is pretty clear how bad Elflein is. I really cannot fathom how he was still on the roster.
  9. I don't think we will be nearly as unwatchable as last season even if we are not successful. Unless Baker gets injured. He wasn't great but it's clear that he adds an element of being able to suddenly come back that we don't usually have. That's not nothing.
  10. Yeah, I mean that is the million dollar question. I guess at the bare minimum we might actually be interesting to watch keep sucking versus insanely frustrating to watch suck like last year. IDK. What a fuging weird game. So much bad sprinkled with some big flashes of good.
  11. I am trying to be mad about this but we did storm back in a way that we don't normally ever do in the post-Cam era. I will put it this way, consider how dogshit we looked all game and still almost won it. So, I guess the question is are we going to still continue to be dogshit all season or are we gonna dial it in? If we lessen the mistakes and plug some obvious holes, we could actually be mediocre.
  12. You know....normally I would say that taking a kicker in the 4th is pretty dumb.....however.....
  13. I honestly have no idea why anyone thought this OL was going to be good. It was not set up for success.
  14. Panthers 27, Browns 24 Panthers jump out to an early lead but have to weather a Browns comeback in the second half and hold on. Panthers win TO battle. Mayfield sacked 5 times. Browns run for over 150 yards.
  15. I'm fired up. Especially my butthole, due to the mega spicy peach salsa I ate last night and just recently passed. If the Panthers can take even a little bit of this fire, we can win easily.
  16. I get the distinct feeling Elflein will be playing a lot more games at C than any of us want to see.
  17. 7-10. Obvious improvement on offense but the team starts hot and falls apart towards the second half of the year(again). Panther fans wait to see if Tepper triples down on Matt Rhule for 2023.
  18. There is a typical recovery time period though. Often don't start getting back to 100% for 9+ months. Just depends on OBJ's body and how dedicated he was to the rehab.
  19. This is excellent content. This is why we slog through GMC and guys jerking each other off ads.
  20. Is 6 wins progress? 7? What is your baseline for him keeping a job?
  21. Yeah, that could all come crashing down if this OL doesn't gel or perform well. It's a top 3 concern for me headed into the season.
