  1. Having the QB running for his life on every play mysteriously makes the secondary look a lot better.
  2. Cleveland just released DT Sheldon Richardson. Personally I think he would be a PERFECT addition to our defense. I'm not sure if we have the money to go after him, but damn he would look nice next to Brown next year.
  3. OVER OVER OVER 11-6 - wild card berth. BOOM.
  4. But its true. Its widely accepted that the top 12-14 players in this particular draft are head and shoulders above the rest of the top rated talent, then you have pretty much similar rated players from 15 or so all the way to around 40-45. Obviously its a crap shoot at the end of the day, but this seems to be the consensus that I have read from multiple sources.
  5. I don't know why everybody is so hard to trade down all of a sudden. With the way this team is being built, this may very well be the last time we are picking in the top 10 in the draft for a long time. We need to capitalize on this, and select the game breaking player who will assuredly be available to us at 8. Grab our next CMC or Luke and call it good. Don't get cute and trade back into the low teens or high 20's where the drop off is huge in this draft. 8 is sitting pretty, IMO this year.
  6. If this is indeed true it just goes to show how absolutely dysfunctional the Jets front office is. They go from getting the 12th pick in this draft for Sam to getting a 4th a 6th and next years 2nd. Although something tells me this report is not true.
  7. Nut uh - tie goes to the runner. Everyone knows that!
  8. Well yeah, thats kinda how it works with all sports.
  9. 1. Lawrence 2. Sewell 3. Pitts 4. Wilson 5. Chase 6. Fields 7. Waddle 8. Slater 9. Surtain 10. Parsons 11. Lance I think there are around 10-12 blue chip players, and the talent then goes to the second tier until about number 35 or 40. Lots and lots of value to be had at the end of the 1st/top of the 2nd. In this draft our 2nd rounder will be a lot like a late 1st rounder. We are set up very very pretty to really improve in the first couple of rounds. Take the stud, game changer at 8, then improve at a crucial position of need in the 2nd and 3rd.
  10. Yeah, he opted out last year, but his 2019 season was one of the best college WR season of all time.
  11. I mean, there are only 7 picks ahead of us, with probably 4 QBs included in that. So, we are going to get a STUD at a position of need fall to us, whether its Pitts, Chase, Sewell, etc....one of these guys is going to be there and we are going to hopefully pounce. I do not want us to trade back this year. We're in too sweet of a spot to take a game changer at 8.
  12. Hes going to be a Brown. And FAR too expensive for us.
  13. But the team is the one responsible for setting the positions/depth chart, not the agents....
  14. Yep. I have a feeling that Joe Brady is going to scheme his ever-loving ass off next year, and in the process make Sam Darnold look like a million bucks. Then Brady will become a Head Coach in the next offseason, and thats where the rubber really meets the road. Gonna be an interesting next couple of years in Charlotte!
  15. Highly highly doubt we take a QB at 8, regardless of whom is there. My opinion is that we’re gonna roll the dice with Sam this year for better or worse and we are in a sweet spot to land the top talent at whatever non-QB position we want.
  16. Lol what? No chance in Gods Green Earth would ANYBODY trade us a first round pick for Teddy. Much less a top 10 pick. Although how incredible would it be to have back to back picks in the top 10. We would be so set up for success it’s ridiculous.
  17. If both Sewell and say, Lance are still available that will be one difficult choice. But, I think that the trade for Sarnold seals our fate with not taking a QB in Round 1, regardless of the smoke out there right now. We have bigger needs to fill with our first pick. Either that or trade back a few picks and hope to God that Sewell or Slater are still there.
  18. Hear Hear. If the stars align, and the Gods smile upon us, and we somehow land Sewell at 8, everything else that happens after that is gravy. Imagine bookending Taylor Moton and Sewell at T for the next 5-10 years. That’s how you build a championship team. If that does happen we will be setting Darnold up to shine.
  19. Well good thing we’re in a prime position to draft a stud at LT at 8.
  20. What did Gase ever do to deserve that much responsibility?
