The NHL refs have shown time and again that they believe they are above reproach. It is a joke how few calls get overturned on review leaguewide. Especially when coaches never challenge unless it is blatantly obvious. The few calls that actually get overturned are probably retaliation by the refs for some previous slight.
Never wanna give up the first goal. But, we are 7-2-1 at home when our opponent scores first. And, we answered right back, negating any momentum they might've gained.
Not an ideal period, but I'll take it.
I didn't think there was enough evidence to overturn the call on the ice. But, if they are gonna credit him with the goal, shouldn't they acknowledge that his stick was perpendicular over his head?
