S Fowler Coker in, Legette out as wr2
DeAngelo Beason replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is the right decision for now. I still believe XL can be a very good receiver for this team, but he needs a QB with better ball placement. He doesn't have the hands to make the circus catches that are required to bail Bryce Young out. -
Line Brown up on the backup every single play dammit.

Spot on.

If you need some ‘chills’ to start your Friday….
DeAngelo Beason replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
They were just so scrappy. Before that season I was a fan of the team. After that season I was an absolute maniac and never looked back. They created an entire generation of die hard Carolina Panthers fans. -
Sadly, it makes sense to pick the option up. That does NOT mean we shouldn't bring in competitors.

Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History
DeAngelo Beason replied to dep's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am assuming you're agreeing with me. If you read the comment I was replying to the point I was making is that Bryce is possibly the worst "long term" QB a team has ever had. Most other garbage QBs have been canned long before they were allowed to drag a franchise down this badly. -

I don't think you read the entire conversation that had taken place before you commented here. You're agreeing with me. You should probably delete this. -
Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History

How is it not? Going into the season virtually every pundit and everyone on this board agreed this was an absolutely stacked receiver room. Did they all become garbage overnight? We have the tallest receivers in the league on average. The QB simply cannot distribute the ball to them because he lacks the size, football IQ, accuracy, and arm strength to do so. -
Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History

Surrounding cast have anything to do with that? We have given Bryce Young one of the top offensive lines and receiving corps in the league and his "progress" as a passer, if that were even measurable, would be in the single digits. Not noteworthy. -
Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History

44 is much bigger than those numbers, and most of us aren't praising Bryce for doing very basic things either. Difference is he already has way more starts, and seemingly way more on the horizon. It's not clear to me what point you're trying to make -
The rule is anything past 1 yard is offensive pass interference, however the rule is also the push off has to be to the body. TMac pushed off the helmet. By rule, it was NOT pass interference. More importantly, but the way they call the several thousands downs of football per season, it wasn't offensive pass interference. It was, to be frank, a call intentionally made by the officials to negate a very big play to help the Bucs win.

Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History

Again, note my specific language. I can't think of a team STICKING with someone as bad as him. All those guys got shitcanned pretty quickly. -
It's almost like a 5'8" midget with a wet noodle for an arm at QB is a liability for an offense. It's absolutely ridiculous that people are trying to judge the offense's performance with this bum. I've said it before and I'll say it again... all we have done is surround Bryce Young with some of the greatest QB developers the game has ever seen, and none of them can fix him, because there's nothing to fix. He simply doesn't have the talent to play at the professional level.
-
Yes. One can only imagine what kind of a mind-blowing rookie season he could have had if we had an actual professional playing QB for us.
-
I believe the Rams are going to metaphorically disembowel us.

Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History
DeAngelo Beason replied to dep's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's most certainly the worst starter that we've fully committed to. That's without doubt. In that regard he's also one of the worst of all time in the whole league. I can't think off the top of my head a team sticking with someone who is this much of a bum for this long. He's utterly pathetic. -
I would say only if he is truly healthy. A few weeks back I had advocated bringing him back for the playoffs if he were "on the fence", but my opinion has changed. At the time I felt that the team had turned a corner and were playing to their potential, and that Bryce Young might have finally grown a brain. I was wrong. If he's not 100% it's not worth a major injury that ruins next season. Bryce ain't it, and we are going nowhere fast with him at QB. That said, if he's truly better then come on back.

Lowest Yards Per Completion...All Time.
DeAngelo Beason replied to SetfreexX's topic in Carolina Panthers
All we've done is surround Bryce Young with guys who had previously turned subpar QBs into MVP candidates, but it's somehow always coaching. Gimme a g*ddamn break. This guy is a bum and a loser. -
They're not dumb. They just handcuffed by one of the worst starting QBs in NFL history. The rest of the team is serviceable to good. We just have a bum QB who is dragging the entire franchise down. It's not coaching. It's not playcalling. It's not officiating. It's Bryce Young. That's it. Full stop. We're spinning our wheels til he's gone.

Best CB Duo in Panthers History?
DeAngelo Beason replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes. Horn has had a few little hiccups, but is still one of the very best in the entire league. He's probably the best CB overall in team history. Norman had the one great season, but was kind of just above average outside of that year. Mike Jackson, on any given Sunday, is nearly as good, and on occasion better, than Horn.
