I understand what you are saying - the NFL is a no lose proposition. The Panthers could be more valuable with better ownership is what I am stating.
-
The Panthers have some problem children in the locker room and it's being carried over to the field. TMJ, Burns (not playing), Chark (not playing) all guys who in my opinion are not giving it their all. Then we got the lost boys: Mingo, Ikey I gotta hand it to Evero though, he is coordinating a depleted defense and they are playing hard.
-
TMJ is a JAG
-
Yeah he does.... The one thing I have actually liked is we aren't waiting until 1 second is left on the play clock.

Chuba needs to be a damn Captain. He gives af.
-
I swear to the good Lort Almighty if we don't throw the damn ball down the field in the 4Q someone's arse better be out on the street tomorrow. This is MORE THAN RIDICULOUS. Hell, I am old asf and I think I could actually be a better traffic cone and not hold better than these overpaid fools. I've had it...

I really think the team needs a 1st and 40 to get motivated.
-
Actually, you could maybe get a .500 team.......maybe.

Icky has to be moved to LG in this offense to be worth anything. Horn's nickname is Glass I am not calling Young until the end of the year, but he hasn't shown any growth. Of course, I am not sure he can see over the O-line where his receivers are and he isn't the "play maker" the FO touted him as. Why isn't any of this being addressed by our all-star coaching staff? We just suck.....everywhere. Really pathetic, I am not one to throw players under the bus but the majority of this team has royally under performed the entire season and show no signs of even attempting to bust their ass to get better. This team needs to be dismantled and bring some coaches, players, and FO staff that give a damn and want to Keep Pounding. This team doesn't deserve to have their names on these jerseys.

You would think Tepper could take a look toward Raleigh and Dundon and see that if you allow people who know what they are doing to do the job you hired them to do you will profit. NFL franchises will always be worth more than hockey franchises, but what Dundon has done with the Canes is outstanding. He's put his money where his mouth is and it has paid off in spades. I remember when he first bought the team people called him "cheap" and that the Canes were a "poverty franchise," haven't heard that in 4-5 years. I do hear that about the Panthers now! Old Brass Balls needs to put up or shut up.

2023-2024 General Canes Thread
Rocky Davis replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
We've seen everything Drury has to offer, he is who we thought he was last year....4th line grinder is his ceiling. If he'd play with a little more grit it would help offset his offensive limitations. Staal is still very valuable in the face off circle and age does catch up to everyone, but he's a pretty heavy guy at 6'4" 220lbs. He's hard to get off the puck and does work along the boards and has that wingspan on defense to really disrupt whoever he is put against. I think when he re-signed both him and the Canes expected this year and next. -

Koochie needs a lot more NHL experience...gotta take some lumps and get adjusted to playing with the big team. Just my two cents (worth a penny these days). -

Pay Brandon Beane to come back and take over as Team President/GM. Harbaugh is going to need a job at the end of the college season, bring him on down and let those two cook. -
That INT was on Bryce, but my stance still stands that every starting QB in the NFL would struggle as QB of the Panthers. Again, I am not going to seriously call Young a bust after 8 games with the team he has around him.
-
and just like that...I feel Bryce Young is a bust. Cannot make this poo up!
-
I understand where you are coming from - how can BY dickslap any defense with this team? I am as frustrated as everyone, but this isn't a good team and I think BY will be a good QB in the NFL. Only time and him playing with a solid team will either prove or disprove that.
-
Here's the thing about pushing the ball downfield: do we have the receivers who run good enough routes to allow Young to throw the ball about 2 seconds before he should? Because he isn't getting the time to throw those passes. Maybe roll him out more?? I am not sure.
-
Yes, that same Texans team with an offensive line. To be honest I was surprised we beat them...I don't know how. They are a better team in every way than the Panthers are. No way you are saying the Panthers have as much talent as the Texans on offense.
-
They didn't think Bryce could get the ball to him with that noodle arm.
-
Yes, this is logical. A football team's success is predicated on one person.
-
We can't prove that, but I would disagree with you. He would look much better with any other team than the Panthers right now, we have to tear it down and have someone who knows the NFL come in and rebuild while Tepper and Fam stay outta the way. (Which I don't know if it's possible, we might be stuck like this until Tepper dies)
-
It also has "My offensive line can't block and give me more than 3 seconds to throw the ball and it's been like this the whole season, let me try anything to do something here." A forced pass by a rookie, I have never seen one of these before.
-
Yeah, I mean I totally thought we wouldn't lose another game this season after we beat the Texans 15-13 last week. We went out and really solidified our TERRIBLE offensive line at the trade deadline, brought in legitimate NFL WRs at WR1 and WR2 and that pick up of our new stud TE really sealed the deal. Look, I am not one to think if someone eats a bag of skittles they are going to be farting rainbows out their ass later - but NOTHING changed with this team because of one win. That goes for the + positive crew and a lot of bent outta shape haters who are now piling on even harder than before the Panthers won their first game. The team's makeup isn't what it needs to be, it's devoid of talent and depth. The Panthers defense is banged up, but even a healthy D isn't going to make up for the lack of offense this year. Should people lose their jobs - possibly and probably so - Fitterer I think is gone, but none of the coaches can go out there and make tackles, run the ball, pass/run block. Fundamentally it is a poorly built team that needs a tear down and if the coaches can't adapt to the personnel to put out a better product than this then yeah they need to go to. Everyone calling Young a bust isn't looking at the team around him.
