Cowboy fans think Thanksgiving is going to be like a bye week
pantherclaw replied to heelinfine's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's not a given for either team winning. If the Cowboys show up, which they actually are very inconsistent in doing so on Thanksgiving, they can handle any team in the league. Then again, so can the Panthers, if they show up and execute their game and not give the game away. There 8s no reason for either fan base to be overly confident. -
9 pages? I couldn't care any less than I already do.

I don't know why anyone would compare him to smith or moose. He's different than both in size and ability. Best rookie receiver season as a Panther. of course he his the rookie wall, they all do whether they admit it or not. He's working hard to get better. He exceeded my expectations as a rookie, I'm excited to see what he does this season.

We need a good #2, not another #1....especially one that comes with baggage.

In another 7 years, he might be a good backup. -

Charles Tillman, CB aka "Peanut" signs with Panthers
pantherclaw replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
He didn't sign for 3 million to play a small/backup role. He won't be converting to safety either. He came here to play, and play hard for his ol' ball coach while having a shot at a good playoff run. -

3mil isn't bad. Jennings wasn't going to sign here anyways. At least not until after the draft. -
or a low yearly salary combined with a yearly roster bonus.

RUMOR: Panthers looking to move up to 16-20th pick
pantherclaw replied to @bobbyagnese's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have often thought on this subject. I do know most teams draft boards have multiple players at same/similar values. I also know how the team values players, often isn't the same as most fans. So after careful consideration, I conclude that the GM that swears by BPA, will always draft BPA. According to their board, said player was BPA in their minds. Why would a GM lie about BPA? I believe the suggestion that they would lie is just a convenient excuse one comes up with so they can fathom why their team drafted a player they didn't expect, or value as highly. Keep in mind, we're all humans, prone to making mistakes from time to time. This includes GMs and the personal that help set their board up. -
RUMOR: Panthers looking to move up to 16-20th pick

I promise, if Gettleman trades up to draft a player, that player will be BPA, or the trade wouldn't even happen. -

For the right player, I'm sure Gettleman would have no problems pulling the trigger, as long as the cost of the trade is fair. That being said....Speculation, Speculation, Speculation. -
i definitely agree with ya. The point that i didn't mention, but will now, is that most fans want the next hottest coach that is coming up out of college. Until they have been a HC of an NFL team for at least 2 years, you really don't know how he'll translate to the NFL. Some ya don't need that long - Spurrier.
