Everything comes to an end eventually. Acceptance of the certainty and permanence of what you cannot control can be so difficult. Especially when you have been to the Top.... been the very best. Time knows no prejudice. One must embrace and appreciate their own experiences dearly holding that personal meaning as enough. Our moment in time is just that, a moment, to be surpassed by moments that follow. Live all of your moments.

Reich wouldn’t confirm he plans to call plays in Carolina, but it sounds as if that's his preference. “Obviously I've always enjoyed doing that, and felt like I’ve had a good bit of success doing that,” Reich said. “When you have a head coach who has played the position, he knows what looking through that lens of a quarterback looks like,” Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer said. “He knows what processing looks like, how to call games through that eye. So there are a lot of advantages to having an offensive head coach."

I think the new DC will have a lot of input in deciding the kind of defense they run. It could wind up being both a 4-3 or 3-4, being used depending on the occasion at the time..

The report below is what Ian Rapoport has released. Ian Rapoport @RapSheet Unbelievable: The #Broncos spent today trying to hire DeMeco Ryans AGAIN today before he recommitted to the #Texans, sources say. When he agreed to terms with the Texans, they moved and finalized Sean Payton.

Reich’s description of a QB: It’s basically Corral
KatsAzz replied to Wundrbread33's topic in Carolina Panthers
That is a plan I could live with. Brissett would be a good bridge QB until the 1st rd QB and Corral got their NFL legs under them. -
I hope the Bronco fans aren't expecting miracles from Payton this year or they could be disappointed because I am not certain that Payton's style and Wilson will be that good of a match .

Frank Reich's Intro Presser - Today, Noon EST
KatsAzz replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Reich let it be known in no uncertain terms in the press conference, when he said the players would be the ones making the train go but the coaches would be the ones driving the train. -
It is an obvious plus that Reich has spent the last four-and-a-half seasons as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts prior to being let go in the middle of last season. He amassed a 40-33-1 record with the Colts and finished over .500 in three of his four full seasons. He battled quarterback turnover throughout the duration of his tenure but was generally able to lead above average offenses and above average teams. Prior to his time in Indy, he was the whizzbang offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles that made Carson Wentz actually look good and before winning the Super Bowl with Nick Foles. Prior to his coaching career, Reich spent several years as Jim Kelly’s backup in Buffalo before spending his last few years as a journeyman. Those journeys contained one stop with the Panthers, where he started (and lost) three games in 1995. Consider this a coming home of sorts.

You could very well be correct with your assumption. -

That is what Reich alluded to, adding that you have to use the similar things you are packing better than the team you are currently playing. -

Even though the team will still be running the ball, it has to be music to the ears of fans to hear that a more up-tempo, no-huddle style is returning to the Panthers in 2023. One thing is for sure, the team will look a lot different on both sides of the ball in 2018. -
More proof that you can satisfy some people sometimes but not all the people all the time.

I am glad to see Panthers keep special teams coordinator Chris Tabor and OL coach James Campen because they both did a whale of a job.
-
I think Indy's problems start from the top with the owner, Jim Irsay, and then work its way down the ranks.
-
Congratulations are extended to Frank Reich for coming back to Charlotte and completing the circle he started here, many years ago.
-
I cannot think of anyone right off that could help develop Anthony Richardson better than Reich, considering his resume and history of positive work with other young QB's..

I am all for a a 10-5 record and a 7-game win streak.

Fan Nation is a site that produces NFL content from current and former players, coaches, and executives. They too, are getting in the mock draft game, because why not? In their latest mock draft, they project the Carolina Panthers to make a trade with the Seattle Seahawks to move up to the fifth overall pick to select Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud.

Fangio to Miami official....well...maybe... probably tho
KatsAzz replied to jb2288's topic in Carolina Panthers
If the Panthers missed out on hiring Fangio as defensive coordinator there are other good candidates available. Fangio was just one of three subjects to have interviewed for the opening, along with New York Jets safeties coach Marquand Manuel and New Orleans Saints co-defensive coordinator Kris Richard. So, it is not like he is the only good offensive coordinator candidate they will have to chose from. -
I would love to read all the transcripts from Wilks second interview.

Dukes Mayonaise is the only way to go, in my opinion.

Florida QB Anthony Richardson has the raw tools to be a really good NFL QB but needs a good QB coach coach to help him become more accurate. I would not consider Richardson a reach if the top three rated QB's in the draft were gone and the Panthers selected him at #9.
