  1. Regardless of what happens with him and the Ravens, i personally would not want the Panthers to go after him considering the overall cost and the other factors involved.
  2. It will be interesting to see how the kicking job plays out in training camp because Eddie Piñeiro wasn't the Panthers initial plan at kicker. He came in just before the season after Zane Gonzalez suffered a season-ending groin injury in the Panthers' preseason finale. He finished the year 32-of-34 on field goal attempts, a 94.1 percentage that's the second-best in a single season among Panthers' kickers with at least 30 attempts. The mark is just behind Graham Gano's 96.7 percent in 2017, when Gano went 29-of-30. Piñeiro's 32 total made field goals this year rank second in Panthers' history for a single season, behind 37 from John Kasay in 1996.
  3. Two things: #1 The Ravens are not going to let QB Lamar Jackson go. #2 Even if they did, the Panthers are still in a somewhat of a rebuild mode and cannot afford him.
  4. I am feed up with the Panthers taking other teams retreads or rejects at the QB position. I would like for the Panthers to see what they have with Corral, even if they have to use a bridge type QB to start this upcoming season and perhaps draft another quarterback if the draft falls in their favor.
  5. Meanwhile the Charlotte Hornets remains a cellar dwelling type team
  6. Heck of a catch by DJ Moore and a great throw by Baker Mayfield.
  7. Shows that good coaches know how to use a RB to help prolong his career and hopefully remain injury free.
  8. The good news is that Cade May can play all 5 OL positions, plus fill in as a FB.
  9. More than likely. Wilks hasn't got the Panthers HC job yet but i feel sure he is talking to different position coaches in case he stays here or gets a HC job elsewhere.
  10. According to his recruiting profile on 247Sports, Young measured in at 5-foot-11 and 183 pounds when he was a five-star recruit coming out of high school. Now,i see they are listing him being 6'0" 194 pounds. I suppose we will get the accurate measurements on all the players at the combine.
  11. Thanks for the heads up. I haven't had time to get updated on all the firings.
  12. I don't think that either Young or Stroud, who both come with some questions, would be worth giving up that much.
  13. If I wanted to sink the team by giving up what it would take to obtain the Bears # 1 Draft Pick, I would lock myself in my office until I became rational and talked myself out of it.
  14. Bidwill wouldn't be contemplating a change and do homework on other candidates if there wasn't a serious thought to canning Kingsbury.
  15. A good example is the Panthers getting the best Left Tackle in the 2022 draft, when it seemed they wouldn't.
  16. Retain Wilks as HC. Get the best OC available. Sign Darnold to a cheap two year contract. Start Corral at QB if he's ready. If not start Darnold until he is. QB's Corral, Darnold and one that is drafted in 2nd or 3rd rd. Take best player available at # 9 in the draft. Restructure contracts to free up money. Resign Bozeman, Foreman, Burns to team friendly contracts.. Resod the football field with real grass Win the NFC South Division with a 9-8 record.
  17. I feel Ron will have to have at least a 9-8 record next year if he hopes to retain his job.
  18. Not being able to go to the games and cheer for them in person like you use to do must really be a bummer.
  19. Young coordinators like Steichen can sometimes be miscast as Head Coaches. There’s always a risk that a hotshot Coordinator like him is a better fit for the play-calling job instead of the Head Coach position.
  20. The Panthers defense was their strong suit this season. The stats don't necessarily reflect it, but a struggling offense often times forced them to be on the field a great deal longer than one would expect with an even middling offense.
  21. Reich is seen as one of the better offensive minds in the NFL. The Colts ranked in the top 10 in scoring in three of his first four seasons in Indianapolis. The unit also ranked in the top of the league in yardage during three of those four seasons as well. While Reich had a turnstile at quarterback during his tenure, his offenses — until this past season — functioned at a relatively high level.
  22. Since the lack of division success is a signal that Reich is better fit for a coordinator job than a head coaching position. A Wilks (head coach)-Reich (offensive coordinator) pairing could be appealing to Tepper and a combination I would like to see joined together..
