I could be wrong but I felt the Panthers earlier plan was to take at # 1 Bryce Young but as the scouting and evaluation process proceeded they began to like C.J. Stroud a little more than Young.

I am sick of seeing his Peyton Manning's ugly face on most all the NFL game commercials. I say a little of Peyton Manning goes a long way.

Here's hoping you are right!!!

I agree. Let's go Canes.

Steven Smith Sr first round QB breakdown
KatsAzz replied to PanthersGTI's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not sure I can agree that Bryce Young will be the Panthers choice. C.J. Stroud has more size and arm strength than Young but obviously he's not a good an athlete as Young but is more of a prototypical pocket passer. While not an easy decision, the choice is either the athlete or the arm. and I cannot help but feel the Panthers will go with Stroud and his superior arm. -

Steven Smith Sr first round QB breakdown

I really liked Steve Smiths skills and admired him as a WR but I am not sure I would have liked being his teammate as a fellow WR. -
Yes, it certainly does not look real good at the present time.

Panthers sign recently unretired NT John Penisini
KatsAzz replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
In DT John Penisini defense he did try playing injured, until the pain playing became unbearable. Penisini has the size and a young age, now the Panthers will have to wait and see how he plays being injury free. -
We cannot keep losing players and not adding any!!!

Sad but true!!!

That should be enough to win.

Which player will benefit the most in the 3-4 Defense
KatsAzz replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
My top four to really do well are Burns, Chinn, Brown and Luvu. -
I notice that and it plan sucks!!!!!

Don't kid yourself, the defensive players are putting extra mustard on any any QB hit every chance they get , regardless of size.
-
Exactly!! That is a double whammy!!!
-
I fully agree!!!

Truer and more sincere words were never spoken!!!

The reason there is no evidence that a smaller QB is more prone to injury than a bigger one could be because smaller QB's never make it to the NFL level, which could be evidence in itself.

It’s just facts that defensive players will come unblocked at the NFL level. I fear that Bryce Youngs slight frame will not be able to take hits from 300+lb, free rushers, it is just physics. He’s so slim his collarbone and ribs are at risk every time he takes a hit, especially if he gets driven into the ground. And if you don’t think teams will happily eat a 15 yard penalty to knock him out for a game/season you should read into bounty gate more. It’s not like there is a 0% chance he has a healthy career, but I don’t want the Panthers be the team to risk it. There are good reasons his size is unprecedented in the NFL.

Pauline believes it's Stroud, but Reich wants AR
KatsAzz replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tony Pauline is like most writers, just wants to throw something out there to write about. -
Yeah. And I can imagine why!!!
