I am all in for hiring Steichen as the Panthers new head coach. The playoffs cannot end soon enough to see what happens.
-
I agree. It is very obvious we need a 2nd line center, and have too many wingmen,
-
The is a great question and I am anxious to see how it will play out! ("This is where the Brady conundrum comes into play. If the GOAT decides he’s done with football, he has a $375 million contract with Fox that calls for him to become its No. 1 analyst.") (" Will Olsen’s emergence force Fox to go with a three-person booth? Could Fox put Brady in studio and make him part of Fox NFL Sunday? ")

I like the following six QB's in the 2023 NFL Draft : 1 Bryce Young 2 C.J. Stroud 3 Will Levis 4 Anthony Richardson 5 Tanner McKee 6 Hendon Hooker. They all have a chance to succeed at the NFL level if they have coaches that will teach them to be better leaders and communicators on and off the field and assist them in unleashing their full talent with the proper drills and techniques.

The Canadians Joel Edmunson would certainly be a great pick up.
-
Congratulations are extended to Greg Olsen. Considering it's only his second season in the booth, he has quickly made a name for himself in broadcasting.

Yes! Lock it!

It certainly wouldn't break my heart if Payton stays with Fox and saves the Panthers the draft choices required to get him. After everything is considered, I personally feel Steichen would actually be the best choice as the Panthers next HC.
-
I feel sure Payton is smart enough to use all the leverage at his disposable with these visits to try obtaining the best deal possible, even if he already knows the team he wants to go to.
-
Even if the Panthers are not lucky enough to get a young QB, I believe Steichen would help elevate the ones they wind up with.

I am rooting for the GIANTS tonight and you should too!

I agree that the Eagles are the best team in the NFC this year. They have no weakness that I have seen and seem capable of winning it all. -
I had been hearing all week that the Bengals had lots of injuries on their OL, so I really though the Bills would win this game. I shutter to think how wrong I was.

I shared your feeling but the Eagles looked like a Super Bpwl caliber team. -
That sounds about right. I am all for the Panthers hiring Steichen.

Calling off the coaching interviews and flying home following the passing of Anton Walkes to spend time supporting the grieving players was a class act by Tepper.

I really don't have a favorite team in the playoffs, since the Panthers didn't make it. Instead, I will enjoy the play action in all the games and root for all the underdog teams that are attempting to pull upsets. -
I believe Wilks will eventually get a head coaching job some time in the future, although it may take another year or two. I don't think he is presently Tepper's first choice for the Panthers head coaching position.

Sean Payton’s Panthers interview is on hold
KatsAzz replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Giving that up the Panthers 2023 # 9 draft pick and heavens knows what else to get Sean Payton would be a massive gamble in my opinion, especially considering the need to draft a high-upside QB from the college ranks. Again, this all comes down to David Tepper. If he’s 100 percent convinced Payton can lead the Panthers back to prominence, then parting ways with first-round picks this year or next will be worth the risk. Giving a divisional rival valuable draft resources isn’t ideal. But as we’ve seen countless times throughout Tepper’s ownership, he may act on impulse and not think twice. -
Yet another screw up after Tepper gets involved in decision makings.
-
I would too.

This is so sad and heart breaking. Anton Walkes was only 25 and had his whole life to live in front of him. Prayers and condolences are extented to his family.
-
RIP Antone Walkes. So Sad.

Not sure who the Panthers will select as HC but hiring either Steichen or Kafka, who are both offensive minded, would certainly be agreeable to me..
