If I had a choice between the two, it would come down to which ones contract demands and projected plans for the team fit what I thought would best be beneficial for the team.

Some Panther fans would not be satisfied regardless of who was selected as the next head coach.

Who cares if a coach has a large ego as long as he builds the football team for success and makes it into a winning franchise. I hope the bad taste that Rhule left us with doesn't turn everyone off on Harbaugh, his polar opposite, who has a long record of success.

Prayers are extended to Peyton Hillis and his family. Tragic events like this remind us how ones life can change in a moment.

That is not the HC or QB I selected but I could certainly see this happening.

Since college football is the place of upheaval and the NFL is where a coach can find some stasis, I look for more college coaches try to land a job in the NFL.

Harbaugh is just doing coach talk and covering his tale if he he cannot get an NFL heading coaching job of his choice.

The fact that Tee Higgins is staying at the hospital speaks highly of him. I hope he can get some professional guidance that will help relieve and easy his mind over this horrible life threating accident. Meanwhile, my prayers go out to both players, their families and teams.

I could care less about what they eat, I just want Tepper to bring his check book with him.

I don't think that's crazy at all because a good QB or special player should be available when the Panthers pick 6-9 in the 1st rd.

Probably from the same people that are always wanting to point fingers and stir the pot after something bad happens.

The question is, if the Panthers are not in position to sign, draft or trade for a franchise quarterback this offseason. Do they give Darnold a relatively cheap one-year prove-it deal? Or have they already seen enough from his past performances to let him go?

I am not sure how much impact the conversation Dave Tepper had with Jim Harbaugh will have concerning a future head coach position but it could be a positive sign that there could future talks in that direction.

Waiting until they release the Stadium Series sweaters would probably be the wise thing to do.

It is also not a given the Panthers will beat the Saints, considering how they beat the Eagles.

Teppers decisions concern me as well, especially after he made a very bad judgement call by hiring Rhule as the Panthers head coach and giving him almost total control.

Prayers are extended to Damar Hamlin, who suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in the Bills versus Bengals game. I find myself at a loss for words when something this tragic happens on the field to a player in the NFL, a sport we all love. Even though all of us NFL Fans realize the danger involved playing the sport, we hope and pray nothing serious like this will ever happen.

You are 100% correct. The conditions he could expect might very well be a big show stopper to his hiring. Tepper and the other interested owners would have to decide if those conditions were reasonable before talking about a serious contract offer.

I would be fine with Harbaugh staying here 5-6 years because the average tenure for an NFL coach is approximately just 3.2 years. Several head coaches have already lost their jobs, with at least a few more firings expected later.
