  1. That's why they always faltered in the playoffs, or did for as long as they couldn't get past the Patriots. Eventually they'd run up against a more physical team that would bully Harrison and Wayne on the outside, get in Manning's face, and get their offense out of sync. They weren't built to win games like that. I hope Rhule and Brady open up the offense more in the coming weeks. When we got up two possessions on the Cardinals the game was basically over because we could just pin our ears back and try to kill Colt McCoy which Reddick, Burns, and co. excel at. Having an offense that can hold on to the ball for more than three plays without just walking up to the opposing defense and handing them the football helps with that.
  2. It drove us nuts when he was here but that's his game. He plays you in a phone booth and grinds things down to the final possession.
  3. We don't have two bookend DEs who are good-great against the run (CJ/Hardy, Pep/Ruck) with TD and Luke prowling behind them anymore to plug any leaks. We're kind of small on the DL all around compared to the best defenses Fox and Rivera had. Somebody said it in the game thread but we're kind of built like the mid-2000s Colts on the line. Two small-ish fast pass rushers on the edges sacrificing contain on the outside for the ability to get to the QB. Washington punished us off tackle all game because of that. What made those Manning teams of that era so deadly was that you'd blink and be down 14 and then Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney would be lighting you up. We're uh not quite at that level on offense yet, hence Sunday.
  4. This is a feeling that we've been missing. Even at the darkest points (and there were plenty of them), it always seemed like we had a chance if Cam was under center.
  5. Looking at the replay it wasn't particularly blatant imo, looked like a lateral
  6. ot but if you didn't start Jonathan Taylor in fantasy today you done fuged up
  7. Final score is going to be something like 38-27 WFT. They're just doing what they want on offense. We're getting shoved around.
  8. I was about to say it seems like they've jumped early several times today with no flag
  9. Hopefully an old pal of ours with multiple corn-themed usernames is there and gets to see Cam wipe his ass with warshington again
  10. Watching on YouTube TV in the triangle and haven't experienced that.
  11. Nice play design, defense sold out on the run and left the middle wide open
  12. Hey man Sideshow Bob was willing to kill himself jumping off a dam to save the town
  13. You know this thread is going to get boxed in like ten seconds, so I might as well point out that one of the most celebrated players in NFL history, Pat Tillman, was an atheist.
  14. nah he's serious https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Adams_(commentator)
