Agree...I really hope Fitterer is making these decisions. I have confidence in him as GM and decision maker for the most part. We don't know what Rhule or even Tepper is forcing here. I think if we pick Kenny Pickett...IMO...Fitterer's hand is being forced.

In reality this team is a few years (at best) from the playoffs. We need to chose the best player in the draft and sign productive young guys in free agency. I doubt QB gets fixed this offseason even if we pick one in the draft unfortunately

I can see some of that as well. He roamed all over for ND and the playmaking is pretty awesome especially in run support. He does have nice ball skills in coverage IMO. Real possibility he goes before 6 as well.

The knee would obviously need to be checked but again I doubt we pick him anyway. McShay just released his new mock and has us taking Sauce Gardner. I just don’t see it but he joins Brooks and Jeremiah mocking us him. If the main OTs go I definitely see a move down but who knows atp.

I realize that most, me included are probably just ignoring this guy with our QB and OL needs, understandably so but this guy has the look of the best “football player” in this draft. Be it at safety, LB or whatever this dude is a punisher. Good ball skills and instincts in coverage as well. Damn it would be nice to plug him into this defense but probably other positions will be the focus. Would not kill me if he is the pick at 6 because he is more than worth that pick.

Seriously if I was actually the GM or coach with my job on the line I wouldn’t take any of these QBs. I definitely wouldn’t take them at 6. You could find a diamond from these guys but more likely than not you will be looking for another one soon. Looking at everything I think Howell is most likely to be something but he is far from a sure thing either. Joe Burrow was on another level compared to this class.
