George Seifert 2.0 Tepper needs to study some history. We have already taken a ride on that rodeo.
-
You mean Doug Pederson did that. Doug and Frank aren’t the same. Doug made it a thing. Frank was on staff. Frank on his own prefers Frank things. Doug is a significantly better HC than Frank. We should of fired Rhule after year 2 and made a run at Doug Pederson
-
I mean, the NFL is always evolving. And any coach in the year 2023 should be able to somewhat adapt to different personnel.
-
Frank is the worst. and if you don’t think Frank is the worst then that same logic applied would skyrocket Seifert into being the best IMO.
-
I mean, Tepper certainly alluded to each firing having its own unique reasoning to it. All this certainly sounds plausible. Dinosaur Frank simply unwilling to bend what he does on O for a rookie QB. And that matches the eyeball test as well as echos critiques folks like 89 were hammering yesterday.
-
I would piggyback and more bluntly say that it’s overlooked to a degree that Frank has never worked with a rookie. He has worked with Pro Bowl vets….and he even acknowledged Andy had to ask for a different game plan and have more stuff put in. I don’t think this was Frank’s vision of how to “save” Carolina. He got tasked with a rookie QB who needed a Bryce specific scheme. I do think he wanted a Carr type. And if he had a rookie probably wanted one that plugged into his bread and butter. Frank wasn’t trying to reinvent himself and that was what the job ended up calling for

In fairness, that QB walked in their door only 4 weeks ago…..and has won more games than the Panthers.
-
Because Tepper said so?
-
I wonder how much truth is in all that stuff though. I mean there was a massive blitz by this team to paint a narrative not just on Bryce but the team coming into this year. It was borderline comedy what they were presenting when you put it all together
-
Bruh, Tepper slings PR and sells narratives to the masses of how they want things viewed. Fitterer does. Frank does. Brown does. Tabor will. Coaches are the ones that do it the most because that’s who you listen to this is why you are pointless to talk with. I say these folks are slinging PR nonsense and painting images of how they want things to be perceived (and it’s rarely the actual truth) and you respond with they don’t work in the actual PR deparment lol. Wut?!! go ahead and twist this into something else too lol. I broke my rule but couldn’t let that one slide lol

There were a lot of Stroud folks, especially before it became clear what they were doing. But I think most were similar to me. While I was a Stroud guy, I just was content in the end a swing would be attempted. Whether that ended up being Richardson or Bryce too. and I still think if you actually had skill talent that was good and fit what Bryce does well with creative coaching…he wouldn’t suck. If I would have known what they were going to it around Bryce…I would have been against it. He was always the low ceiling guy. He is the most dependent on the cast around him
-
It’s always the wording. In the end, universal consensus. I mean, I told you so arguments aren’t going be good in lots of NFL environments. Once the tide turns in a clear direction, the wise move is to just get on board. Essentially every team has staff that endorses someone who wasn’t their actual preferred option. I just go back to every draft. Pick a random spot. Narrative is always that is exactly who everyone wanted and just happened to be #1 on our board. It could be a random 4th rounder. No one is going to have everyone actual agree on a pick. I’m sure plenty thought trading up was dumb to begin with. But at a certain point, if you are part of the team you endorse it as the best move simply because it was the move made. And your job is to fall In line at the end.

Yeah, it was Frank Reich offense boss. Has been a Frank Reich O. The fact you are unwilling to concede that painful reality…..is just a you thing. and you are still tripling down on random Panther PR statements. Despite it being essentially a weekly show about the bullshit they have spewed being just that. Thomas Brown came in here and was a completely neutered “OC” that wasn’t allowed to actually be the OC. And yes, when they had to put their own spin on how he would be talked about given they weren’t actually going to let him be the actual OC. It’s a bad look to say the truth. For everyone. It was always Frank. It’s amazing. Everyone here is wrong. NFL players are wrong. Only you are right. Because BOA once put out something that never actually made sense as they pitched it. Feel free to respond or don’t. Keeping it going with you is no longer entertaining. So I’m going to let your post be going forward, It’s like Scott Fitterer dealing with you on your arguments. Pointless.

Your boy Mr Scot needs to call into that podcast and tell them how wrong they are. Thomas Brown built this offense from the ground up and from scratch. I mean, why should they get off the hook from him
-
I still think Tepper told Frank he had to give up play calling and it didn’t change things. But, if Wolfe is correct, Frank was still dictating what O we ran. and it sure seemed the same. Then Tepper put Frank’s job on the line and Frank got the playcalling back. And rumors seem to suggest that timeline plays out. Rumors/reporting is saying several weeks ago is when things started to come to an end for Frank. Which would make the tinfoil conspiracy crowd right all along and the reminder to pay little attention to the words in real time out of BOA when they don’t add up
-
Problem for Tabor, is he is making adjustments which take time….and his next opponent is a top team against the run. So, it’s going to be ugly. But I think gets better after this weekend.
-
I mean look at the last “good” QB class. 5 in the top 15. Only one that looks to pan out was the textbook lab built guy in Trevor. Franchises are already done with 3 of them. Fields could be the next and make 4 of the 5 done. Trevor Lance Wilson Fields Jones

He said it in that podcast in the OP 89 is an asshole. I think he just agrees with the firings and likely would behave similar to Tepper. Only 89 wouldn’t have been all “out of respect to Rock Hill, I can’t comment on it”., like Tepper was today. 89 would have blasted Frank out the door. 89 just doesn’t come across as the sympathetic type to NFL coaches.
-
Just got to hope for the blind squirrel method to eventually happen. At some point, he is going to accidentally hire someone competent lol
-
Well, 89 referenced that narrative. So he is at least aware tha people view it that way. Given the 89’s style and wealth (and present earnings) I doubt a little check from Tepper has turned him into his lapdog I think it’s possible 89 doesn’t trash Tepper because he probably would behave similar lol and just agrees with that style of management.
-
Well, all signs point to Fitter being completely incompetent and pointless. I do think Tepper listens to his people. He just hires bad people and then Tepper, rightfully, can’t handle the results.
-
Yeah, I think if Tepper actually hired a good HC….it would be much easier to stay uninvolved. I really hope he fires Fitt, hires a firm to go get him a HC/GM pairing for the 2024 version of the NFL with a vision and stays out of it for a couple years.
-
And they keep circling back to just how trash Frank was. So much tied to his poo and predictable O. They essentially say everyone sees it that knows football. Referenced when it was called out in the 3rd quarter last week during the game. It has a lot to do with the OL getting destroyed. Frank sets it up for implosion. I
-
Wolfe claims when Thomas Brown called plays Frank dictated what he could and couldn’t call. *once again the steady reminder what Panther folks say in front of a microphone is often BS, PR and lies. I know that is unsettling to a small few that go down quoting it as the unquestioned truth when uttered.
