  1. 1996 Kevin Greene is a pretty glaring omission. Finished 2nd in DPOY votes. 14.5 sacks. Helped take that team out of nowhere to the NFCCG. It's definitely top 5.
  2. the world's shortest list. Things Scott Fitterer has done right.
  3. I believe Frank's defense of it was he saw his kicker hit 60 yarders in practice. Not that Eddy was pulling it off pregame. And it was 100% obvious Eddy didn't think he could make it by his actions after the miss. The whole what did you expect body language. and I still don't think there has ever been any leaks on where the coaches stood....only that there was clear disagreement on what Frank opted to do.
  4. We are also dead last in takeaways.
  5. Did he? Last I heard was them acknowledging the coaches did not all agree on what Frank did in that moment. Sure didn't look like the kicker thought it was a good idea.
  6. He has been playing through injury all year. It frankly is amazing he suited up last week if you watched his injury. He made HUGE strides from year one to year 2. Trevor is a lab QB physically. In-between the ears has always been where he lacked IMO. Even at Clemson he made a lot of boneheaded throws at his peak there. I put him in the Herbert tier. They just need to take one more step. Trevor's pretty young. I almost consider him a year 2ish player given the Urban thing.
  7. I mean, I just don't see how anyone can argue Bryce doesn't have a weak arm by NFL standards. You could argue you don't need a strong arm and can still get it done. Which you can. But Bryce Young flat out can not make the throws other QBs can. Which is going to limit him/us. I think that is undeniable if you watch him. Some plays if they are there.....aren't. Because he can't get the ball there.
  8. nah, he clearly doesn't have the type NFL arm you generally look for. There flat out are throws he can't make. I mean he technically can attempt them but the ball isn't going to get there in time. Or he is taking as sack because he can't just flick it out there and needs to put his body positioned behind a lot of throws.
  9. Thomas Brown's situational play calling overall has been horrific in the majority of games post Frank. The only one you can't bash him for was yesterday's rain game. And the one time we got down to the goal (a situation he has been bad at redzone/short yardage/need to pick it up).....Tabor's FG play took it all away from him. His best game as an OC we scored 9 points.
  10. And the Eagles were fading him out down the stretch last year because he wasn’t actually a good RB. That OL was getting him rushing yards and he was really bad last year in a lot of aspects that don’t show up on the stat sheet. Which was my #1 off season rant.
  11. Is there a better RB/WR/WR/TE foursome in the league around a QB? Probably best LT in the NFL taking care of him. Then you got one of the best play callers in the NFL as the maestro. Purdy doesn’t suck. But almost any competent NFL QB that can play the full field is going to look like a Pro Bowler in SF right now IMO
  12. Our coaching staff addressed it weeks ago. Frank said Mingo was just way too good to take off the field for anyone else lol.
  13. All his balls take forever to get to where he wants them. I just don’t see how is arm is going to be able to get to where it needs be at this level
  14. I mean it worked out. So that’s that. I would have gone for it on the 1. Weather trumping the analytics. Feel more comfortable getting a yard than a FG in the rain.
  15. Luke was weird. He turned into the rage monster when he stepped on the field Sunday. Rarely see such an extreme Jeckyll and Hyde like that. He wasn’t leading by example on Sundays but totally see it that way the other 6 days.
  16. Most playoff appearances: Ron Most division titles: Ron Best win % : Ron I mean if we concede it’s a tight race of Ron and Fox….I just don’t see how anyone tips it to Fox given it all skews to Ron
  17. Fox didn’t have less and he didn’t do more. IMO. Fox had better rosters. Especially if you look in the trenches. most success in our history was under Ron Rivera and it was the funniest window.
  18. Steve Smith and Julius Peppers for Fox. John Fox also had the best overall rosters IMO of any coach here.
  19. convo is just the best Panther coach. And a solid coach is the best we have ever had. I give Ron the slight edge simply because he allowed a culture to be created here around Cam and for Cam to whatever he wanted …..and most NFL teams wouldn’t have allowed that to happen. Ron never gets credit for that and should. It’s not what most coaches are comfortable with allowing and greenlighting. Which brought us the best window in franchise history.
  20. That speaks to how much better NO, Tampa, and the Saints were in 2010. Division was good and everyone finished with double digit wins. I don’t think you can measure it in point differential. 2010 had a tougher schedule and NFL. if you just cherry picked that 2010 team out, the roster was just miles better around than this one. Specifically the cast on O once you ignore QBs. 2010 was a better team…..they played in a tough division. The 2023 team plays in a poo division. 2010 is winning games if they played this current schedule.
  21. Stadium should be a ghost town. Who would want to sit in a game with a downpour all 4 quarters with cold and wind…..to watch Carolina.
  22. Horrific weather throws a lot of stuff out the window. Also increases the fluke window odd turnovers and just bad football. Weather potentially could cause Atlanta to hand us a win.
