Last 3 years how many Tenn type teams have made the postseason? they are the exception to the rule. Those always exist.

Also found it utterly depressing that the GM made sure note it was Rhule’s hire. Not his. He was there if Matt wanted input but Matt doesn’t know offense Rhule is picking the OC. what exactly is the point of Fitt? Tepper could save some money and not have a fake GM. Clownshow is just repeating the same lines from last year. The worst QB in the NFL over the last 4 seasons is young and we can fix him. Just because. Not because we have ever done it. Or won in the NFL. Or had good college QB play. But Matt Rhule’s plan is that he can fix Sam Darnold. That remains the plan. Just because.

Titans have a legit NFL guy as their HC. Vrabel can coach. He has flat out won them games. And he has one of the few guys actually built for the offense he runs.

Panthers won 3 straight NFCS titles and went to the Super Bowl with Mike Shula. Was that Shula or Cam? Pep had Luck. Luck had better skill guys but I always thought there were parallels with Cam. Look, Pep is better than Nixon or Brady. But Pep’s natural instinct is the power run game. And I am not a supporter of Rhule or his vision of Baylor Ball. Hire Pep. Matt Rhule can run 40 times. Play D and maybe get to .500 pending our schedule. That isn’t winning football. Yeah, the Titans do it. An anomaly with a great coach.

Pep’s not horrible. I mean he is a legit OC vs what we had But a guy that couldn’t get it done with Luck is just going to get fired again with Sam Darnold. It’s basically what Rhule wants. Pep is a power run guy at heart. But for team that claims to be wanting to build from the ground up…..it looks like their goal is build into a .500 team.

Watson wouldn’t waive the trade clause for us when things were at their worst for him… assuming he has even more suitors? I don’t see how we are even in this conversation. Outside of we want in it. and we aren’t even attractive. Come to us and our HC who wins 5 games, a new OC and bad OL

also, he is back to basically acting like Sam is a rookie IMO. Also, interesting to know Sunday was one of his best games lol. Rhule is just going to run it back. Hoping he gets a chance to run CMC into the dirt next season.

Cam wasn’t just talking about young players though. Cam was talking about everyone. Non-players too. Cam just highlights we have a college staff. This off-season really highlighted how the staff aren’t up to speed IMO too. I guess that is to be expected in their first real offseason. But Cam and Teddy IMO both hit the same notes overall. The staff isn’t up to par in Carolina. And veteran guys see it.

Cam’s bar for people is higher than Rhule’s.

That’s Matt Rhule telling folks inside he is still in power and looks out for “his guys”. Why else would PJ be the first one. And it’s a pretty sore subject position.

I mean, Person just wrote a pretty damning article with 20 sources inside Carolina. Cam today basically said from top to bottom they ain’t got the right people in the building right now. But players know Rhule has a big contract so there is only so much they can say. They got to stay employed on a profession that has a tiny window.

He is saying too high of a percentage of players, coaches and front office people don’t actually care enough about winning in Carolina.

I think DJ is like a Adam Thielen. He could be a #1. Just a total package WR that can do it all well. But you would like to throw a Jefferson type threat on the other side.

his paycheck is irrelevant in this convo again, it’s a people business. Evidence is all over life. Your life. My life. Everyones. You either get that concept or you don’t. Ron and Matt own a bank….all things being equal I’m working for Ron. And I’m only work for Rhule for a poo ton more in cash. That’s it. I’ll take slightly less to work for Ron. That’s life.

I mean he is. Big picture Cam Newton is the Panther GOAT. Luke and Peppers are probably the two best actual football players. but Cam did things they couldn’t. He was the face of the franchise in a manner no one even comes close to. Cam is Carolina in a way no one comes close to.

They probably will keep Sheena and Person out. They are about the only two these days that ask legit stuff.

Treating people poorly and being low character….impacts plenty. Especially when you are in the business of managing people and bringing them in (which is football). so yeah, I’d say having someone like Rhule matters in terms of winning long term. it will impact coaches and players willing to come here. People see Joe Brady. They see Cam. They see his pressers. Matt Rhule isn’t where you want to be.

I’ve always said the team was just an investment and ego play for Tepper and it’s why I won’t buy seats for football or soccer until that changes

Wasn’t about the money to Cam or us. Cam didn’t come here for that nor did that money matter to us. the people business matters. You do that poorly….and you aren’t going to be successful in the long run. you can brush it off. But if you want Carolina to be good you should care. It was the early sign of Gettlemen being a train wreck and Rhule has told you clearly now too.
