  1. Run D OL protection Ability to pressure without the blitz coaching in general * I don’t expect the OL to be very good early in the season and I think a lot of people think that is no longer a problem.
  2. Lots of coaches are nice humans that players like. And the NFL is a talent driven league. Nothing there really to dispute. The number one knocks on Rhule are his vision and eye for things have been bologna. The manner in which he has gone about building things. And he isn’t a good game day manager. I mean he can be a nice guy that players like as a human. That’s not the thing people bash Rhule on.
  3. Yeah. It’s weird. it still reflects us as one for the bottom teams in the NFC. Just not the absolute gutter.
  4. I feel you. Hope it's true. He had years late in NE with trash too though. Couldn't move. He had no time. And he still diced folks up w/ that short pass attack.
  5. AFCE used to say the same type stuff. For years. The downfall was always clearly on it's way. It's clear Tom Brady made some pact w/ the devil. I spent like 7 years predicting the next year was surely to be the year with him.
  6. basically, what the AFCE spent over a decade arguing about the Patriots. Well, if Brady got hurt we totally have a shot.
  7. yeah, line suggests on a neutral field the Browns would be a slight favorite. It's basically a pick em game. Which sounds about right in the grand scheme.
  8. I mean anything is possible in sports. I didn’t think the 03 or 15 teams were special going in. We also won the division once with 7 wins. so you can’t rule anything out in sports. It’s why we bother watching them. but I wouldn’t bet a single dollar on it
  9. That’s going to have refs totally destroy games. Their targeting rule already was getting bonkers. Kicking kids out of entire games for hits that simply are going to happen and the defender has no realistic action to avoid.
  10. Jags OL was graded out by PFF to be 24th last year. Without good QB play. And historically horrific coaching. We were graded 30th last year. Every year of late we have gone in and said the OL will be better because of FA adds. Hopefully this year isn't a repeat of the same mantra not panning out. We got a cast of guys that haven't played together, a rookie at the toughest spot, playing next to a 2nd year player that barely played last year, with a new QB and a new OC. Talent might be there but they might not play like a good unit this year. There is zero chemistry by NFL standards and so much newness thrown together.
  11. but fug Tom Brady. Moving to NFL section.
  12. I bet the official deal was Tom was supposed to retire when he did. Then he went against it and opted to unretire and comeback. And wifey ain't happy. And Tom getting the poo any normal husband would be getting from a woman that wears at least equal pants in the relationship. I mean, he doesn't need the money and another ring isn't going to alter his legacy IMO at this point. I think she has made it known for some time she is pretty much done w/ Tom being about Tom and football at this stage in their lives.
  13. my criteria is simple. Is it easy to say and not embarrassing. Outside of that, I could care less.
  14. I don't know why they even bother with a survey. It will go to the highest bidder pending it's just not something that the NFL as a whole would be against.
  15. I mean, the Staples Center is now Crypto.com Arena. Think that was close to a billion dollar deal. David Tepper would likely name us the Adult Depends Diaper Stadium if the deal netted him some cash.
  16. Somewhere around 5 to 7 wins. Basically the same thing that could of happened the last 2 years if a random play had bounced our way. We could of randomly gotten to 7 those years two with a lucky break. Schedule is hard. Ton of new pieces on O from QB, to OL, to OC. Its certain to have some rough spells trying to figure it out. And I think the run D is going to really struggle. And that will in the end weaken the pass D as they will likely have to overcompensate to deal with the run.
  17. everything there is an unknown though in the grand scheme of things. Can't really grade Fitt on any of that yet.
  18. QB/OL/DL. That's how I think a personnel guy should be largely evaluated. If you can get talent there, you will win in the NFL with even an average coach. I'd still give Fitt an incomplete at this point.
  19. lol, but I would think Baker is actually cool w/ 95% of the Browns players. the couple players that don't know him might try to use the comments as fuel. Rest of the team just knows it is Baker being Baker.
  20. lol, yeah, that full quote by Myles Garrett shows how silly this whole thread is. Whether Baker did or didn't say it, it doesn't actually mean anything. Garrett has spent years listening to Baker and that's just Baker. Garrett might be extra amped up. That cuts both ways sometimes. But it won't have anything to do with what that reporter claims Baker said. It will just be he gets to finally give it ago against someone he has always been forced to be hands off with that talks poo.
  21. “If Jimmy Clausen is not a successful quarterback in the NFL, I’m done. That’s it. I’m out.” - Mel Kiper Jr
  22. I don’t think he has that much to do with Chubba at all. Think it has to do with how small we are at WR and them not trusting TMJ to be ready for real reps. He is the big congested red zone type guy I guess (which we don’t have at all, not even a TE) and run blocker at WR. Which Robbie is neither and TMJ a was suppose to be more of than Robbie offered IMO. You don’t want the new guy pass protecting on 3rd down. And he doesn’t know the playbook. CMC is the guy you want on 3rd down IMO. If you were going to spell CMC it should be on early run downs and that is the one thing Hubbard is somewhat respectable at and Foreman can do.
  23. Pretty much. The muffed punt turnover is brutal though
  24. I liked they kept Roberts on the initial roster. Shi didn't run punts in college and only logged in 3 returns in the preseason. I think he can be the guy. But I'd probably like Roberts out there early on. Especially bigger pressure moments to field them to start the season. PR is just a weird gig.
