  1. He already is a great receiver that plays out of the backfield. I would rather have him on the field then traded, with whatever the cap implications are. If Curtis Samuels can do it when healthy, CMC can blow the doors off doing it.
  2. If he converted to WR he would be making a little more than Anderson and has a hell of a lot more upside. Not many RBs could do that and he was raised by a damn good one. His body doesn't look ruined, yet. Not asking him to constantly be hit by and having to block 300 lbs guys would do wonders for his health. He is still the most talented guy on the team, by a stretch. It's time to have the talk with him and if he want's to remain at RB then I think it's a good time to start looking at options. The notion it's wasted money is lame, it's wasted talent. It was the same with Cam, pissing away talent because the staff can't put anything decent around him while asking him to carry the offense and be the scheme.
  3. Expecting a RB to carry the offense on his shoulders every game and be the lead rusher, catcher and blocker is bitting us in the rear.
  4. It is a fair question at this point for sure.
  5. The are zero good known reasons to keep him off the field in at least support capacity at this point. Is he having meatal health issues, facing unknown legal issues or possible having a surprise male pregnancy? No? Then how could he be worse and still taking up a roster spot? I get the late round rookie needs time to adjust and all of that but the bar can't get any lower. Just play the man at least some if he is worth a roster spot.
  6. I still waiting for us to hire that one. Lots of good and some great Defenses, the Offenses always underwhelm with Cam and Jake's first year being exceptions.
  7. The first option is so bad that it's honestly hard to tell about the second option. Could be both still at this point. The second one is defiantly not good enough that it can cover for the first.
  8. The fact they thought they had adequately worked on the oline is the root of the problem. They look to value positional versatility over being good at one spot, They look to value athleticism and ignor injury histories. It's early but that's where we look to be with that mess.
  9. Comparing Mahomes to Darnold is like comparing a Ferrari to a Mustang. The line matters but so does the QB's ceiling. How about both matter? Even Cam couldn't overcome one awful lineman in the SB against a very good team. That is not the Eagles in week 5 this year. Don't tell me Mahomes couldn't have overcome the Eagles this year with his line from last year. We got 2 injury prone duds in free agency and a 3rd round LT who can't play LT and an OG who cant be active when there was 3 years of tape stating what Sam can't do. How the hell do we look comparable to KC on offense other than opposite day fun time?
  10. The option is fine. If Fitts is as good as we all hope, trade him for value.
  11. If this was 1970 I would say it's a great plan. At this point it just hurts to watch.
  12. It Hurt but it was also earned. It hurts more because we are now entrenched in pre-Cam offensive suck. I did not miss these times.
  13. Doesn't matter, he didn't want us. It's the same saying we wanted Lawrence, it was never an option for us. We fans just didn't know it at the time. And that price tags...yikes. I want Mahomes, doesn't mean it was ever a legit option. They traded for Sam, picked up his 5th year option and assembled this oline with 3 years of tape proving what Sam needs to have any success. 9 days ago they thought he was the answer and heading into the postseason. Now, its back to reality. It defiantly starts at the staff and rolls down hill. Throw in Fritts too for those 2 dud free agents with known injury issues that they were happy to go into this year relying on. He isn't wrong about that.
  14. Sam is mediocre. Fix the line and get a better QB. That's the goal and anything less is settling for bad to mediocre.
  15. 2005 the year that convinced the people in charge to commit to mediocrity and waste the next 4 years of football. Good times and thanks for the nightmares.
  16. Maybe building an offense around an amazing RB being rode into the ground is not a good idea? CMC could be a huge bonus but the way we used him last year and this year combined with our desperate need for him to be on the field leaves me very skeptical about his future availability this year once he clears this injury. It's a bad place to be and I'm never excited about ruining a star player. We will win more with CMC but how long is that going to last at the level of touches he has seen?
  17. Brady doesn't have the strength for guard. Put Brady at LT and Ervin at LG and Scott at RG.
  18. RTs require more strength than LTs and he has vastly more experience over there as a player. The only thing I can think of is natural TE help but it's not like they can't flip a TE to the left...
  19. I get that but playing both tackles out of their best possible positions is mindboggling. Brady is weaker and more athletic so he is the best RT? That's odd, Moton fits the RT mold and Brady does not. The interior is just a garbage fire but it doesn't mean the OT thing is any less weird. It doesn't fix the interior but that is no reason to not have guys at their best spots.
  20. Play Brady at his natural position that's LT and shake up the mess in the middle. Try anything at this point. I don't want to see Moton against a speed rusher on the left side, not that it would matter with the interior being so awful.
  21. If you are thinking that Bridgewater is in anyway the answer then you are completely missing the point. A lower ceiling is a lower ceiling and when there is as much tape on both as there was before coming here, it is not at all surprising. Why can't we see reality and set these guys up for where they can perform at their ceilings? That's the concerning part. This is the NFL, great teams make do with less and dumb teams play pretend. Hopefully Rhule and Fritts wakes up and changes their evaluation and support processes going forward.
  22. So why the fug did we pass on Slater? I get Fields being passed on but Slater was a day 1 LT and now we got our RT playing LT. We could have added Slater and an OG in the 3rd. That's the move I want to hear about. Thinking Darnold is more than a place holder if protected is concerning. The film is there and he was a completely known quantity in the NFL. It's almost like we have crap taste in QBs...delusions of raising low ceilings is my guess at this point.
