"Stop overreacting. It's only one loss. The season isn't dead."
Waldo replied to R0CKnR0LLA's topic in Carolina Panthers
The season was dead at conception. If the schedule wasn't so easy upfront then everyone would already know this. They won some slap fights agaisnt other losers but got slapped in the face by the reality of the situation. This is still not a good team and it's still questionable if they are building more than better than 'historically bad'. -
I said he was washed when they resigned him and not many wanted to hear it. There is zero reasons to have guys on the 53 that can't contribute anymore. They should have gone after someone else and let that guy retire. What a fugging joke

I love Moton but when they extended him I guessed what was going to happen. Big guys and knees usually only go one way unfortunately. Dumb move and Im guessing Brandt was at the table for that one too. Of course ride Corbett at OG, just work on the next plan fast because it's going to be needed soon. Watching BC go down after not being played as much as he should have also wiped any hope that he is any part of the future. Backups that can't backup are as useful as Andy Dalton in his farewell sunset tour. Yeah it's going to get interesting to see who and where they play everyone moving forward. I have little faith in their personnel decisions.

Brooks isn't anything worth putting hope into at this point, that dude can'tbe relyed on until he can stay healthy for any period of time. If that is your answer then you have already failed. If they trade Rico and Hubbard misses any more time then the wheels would come off worse than yesterday. They need him and DC needs to figure it out. Play Rico and spell him with Hubbard. If Hubbard doesn't like it then he can carry that chip into his runs. This team goes as well as it's running and it needs a ridiculous amount at that to carry the QB play and spell the D. Everything was exposed yesterday when they got hit in the mouth from the opponents run game. That's what they need to do to other teams if they want any amount of success the rest of the season.
-
If the run game isn't working then the D and O will revert to the cheeks we all know too well. Once they started getting cute with the Wildcat call it was obvious how the game was going to go.

I wouldn't put much hope in Corbett being cleared for long when he comes back. Moton's injury is way more concerning given the history.

The weak opening schedule really fooled some people. The rest of us saw this coming.

After we release Dalton tomorrow, who do we sign?
Waldo replied to sonburst4's topic in Carolina Panthers
I still have no idea why Dalton was brought back. He is completely washed and no amount of time sitting is going to help that. We saw it creep i 2 years ago and then it was obvious last year too. Players who can't play anymore don't need a token spot on the roster. Im more worried about Moton's knee than what scrub is #2 now. -
Dave doesn't know how to be a HC. He is still figuring out how to OC. Handling of Hubbard and brining back Dalton raises the question of how far along he is as an OC.

DC is meh. He can run a basic NFL offense but it's going nowhere. Get him 'his' style of players and he can put up some wins but he isn't building more than that at best. He was easily replaced in Tampa and the other guys look like better versions of his cold soup.

This team lives and dies by their RBs. Bryce is being easily replaced with a washed Dalton. LOL

Cam Newton gets into it with Alabama A&M mascot

Terrible optics but it also looks fun. I do wonder what the hell happened. Anyways, Cam's his own man and it doesn't effect me. -
Seth Walder: Regrading 8 trades from the 2024 NFL trade deadline
Waldo replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was in the camp of 'it's probably going to end poorly'. He sure looked to fit that mold. Just glad they dumped him in the end. -
The Panthers have all of the lack of deep passes without the threat of deep passes

That's more fun when Im drinking and not at work

Geno is really the only good company to those guys and it took him to 32 years of age to get it to click. He was a number 3 not 2 until they are starting to click. Baker was a pro bowler and went to the playoffs. Darnold just can't be leaned on but is solid in a #2 approach of don't lean on him. Dimes looks to only play well in contract years so if that's due to that or just not having a crushing weight of a big QB contract is TBD but still looks like a #2 in the same way Darnold is a #2 because he can't be leaned on or else. The guys you mentioned would have to take a big step to go from being a #3 to a #2 in quality. More of a hail marry really. Geno did that but it took years where this team needs a #2, not a #3 project. Basically they are closer ro Hooker than any of those guys but Geno who is the exception and not the rule.

Jackson needs help over the top. Asking him to do what Horn does is just dumb.
-
Nope, I was being straightforward. You on the other hand tried to talk about gas lighting while combining sarcasm which just made your take convoluted at best and at worst just straight gas lighting.
-
Great now we are using the definition of gas lighting to then gas light. Chefs kiss on that full circle.

Dalton is much better pre snap and getting rid of it in the pocket. I just don't think he has much if any juice left. Basically how he looked in game 2 the last 2 years of his starting stints. So still an improvement from Bryce but a ghost of his former self at this point. If DC doesn't call a run heavy game he is going to have a rough day.
-
But with more time he can turn into the best version of himself that can be...and still not be worth a non-rookie contract.
-
They are 0-7? What more than a sack can they talk about? It's not a serious injury and there was zip from that clip that was disrespectful, intended or not.
-
Clean play and take from them. The video doesn't show anything bad and no one would know there was an injury from the play either. Just looks like a normal sack.

Seth Walder: Regrading 8 trades from the 2024 NFL trade deadline

Would be more impressive if we would have targeted better guys in the first place but it's good to see them move on from some of their mistakes. Now do the rest already...
