I just listened to that podcast and that’s not really what Burns said. He said Ron was more defensive minded and more hands on with the D. Rhule is more offensive. Said Ron gave him a different perspective of the game since he played it. He could get more hands on while Rhule is more strategic and scheme oriented since he doesn’t have experience as a player. Nothing about not connecting with guys personally.

The two win team got Rivera Cam. The circumstances are very different here. Tepper very much wants to emulate the Steelers. I see him giving Rhule a long rope.

To be accurate, Harris county prosecutors are convening a grand jury to determine if charges will be dealt. Also, the FBI is now involved. Two of his accusers have chosen to not sue him. They’ve just filed criminal complaints.

Jonathan Jones and Joe Person are both saying the Panthers are not interested in a trade for Watson.

I don’t know how good Fletcher is, but if it’s close I would give JJ the choice. He can stay here with his Fam or go to a contender with familiar faces. Good deal either way.

He looked better on the second drive. His jumping around on the first drive made me nervous. Seemed a bit panicked at times. It could just be me, but it seemed like he was just focusing on one side of the field on each play. I guess that is one way to help his decision making.

The preseason can be really misleading. The Steelers will have a better record than us this year.

Smitty asked Tepper if 89 would be retired if Smitty became a HOF’er. Tepper squashed that idea pretty hard. Says he doesn’t want to retire numbers. Smitty looked disappointed.
