Tomlin on Diontae as a Panther gives me some anxiety
Tbe replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is what the Steelers do. You complain and you’re gone. He complained - he got shipped to the worst team in the league. Picket complained about Russ, he was gone the next day. -

“And again, we can't fix everything overnight because there is a lot of holes, and I think that we all have to understand that. The fans have to understand that, and people in the building have to understand that, that it isn't going to happen overnight, but it is going to eventually happen.”- 36 replies

They will subscribe until they are dead. It’s what they like and are used to. It’s just like my grandparents and landline phones. Real talk though: all these streaming options are not going to work long term. At some point they will consolidate into cable tv 2.0 because people want simple. They won’t be as powerful as before because of YouTube, but it will happen.
-
YouTube TV is really close in price already.
-
The only people still subscribing to cable or listening to radio are boomers/gen X.

Im just not a fan of spending your last $5 on a lottery ticket when the pantry is bare. We can gamble once we have a competitive roster that could actually support a developing QB.
-
Exactly. It’s really hard to improve when you’re not able to play in a real game. It’s even harder given how often nfl staffs turn over and how that impacts player development.
-
You’re asking for the Panthers (and their crack scouting dept) to spend a 3rd round pick in the hopes they stumble on an Uber talented QB the rest of the league overlooks. Not just that, but then we have to hope Bryce goes down so this 3rd round pick can get game reps and develop into something. All this when we have poo for depth at all positions.
-
He would have never touched the field if Trey and Jimmy didn’t get hurt.
-
That’s the dream, but that’s a huge waste of a pick for a team that needs depth at other positions. Even if we got a Purdy like talent, would we even know? Those situations happened because circumstances forced unlikely guys into the starting role. Such an enormous long shot.
-
Because he would be a ‘development’ QB. He would sit until properly ‘developed’
-
When was the last time a later round QB developed while spending years on the bench?
-
What’s the point? Plenty of 1st round busts to go around if you need a backup.

This is interesting. https://www.foxweather.com/lifestyle/chicago-bears-turf-soldier-field-season-opener-49ers.amp The Bears (who share a stadium with MLS) use an innovative natural sod system from a company IN CHARLOTTE.

28 year old who never put it all together. Decent depth.

He was a rotational left tackle for GB last year after David Bakhtiari went down. ………. “Although there is value in having experienced depth, Nijman had two opportunities last season to earn the starting snaps outright and failed to do so. It somewhat feels like the writing is on the wall when it comes to his time in Green Bay. With 13 pressures allowed in only 157 pass-blocking snaps, Nijman ranked 88th out of 135 eligible tackles in PFF’s pass-blocking efficiency metric. He ranked 75th in run-blocking grade. In short, Nijman was far more inconsistent than what the team was hoping for in their fourth-year tackle. The Packers have also been building their tackle depth with Caleb Jones essentially red-shirting for two seasons, along with having Luke Tenuta, who was on the 53-man roster in 2022 and injured in 2023. Both are on a similar developmental path as what Nijman was on when he first joined the team in 2019 as an undrafted rookie. This also happens to be a very deep offensive tackle draft class. In Daniel Jeremiah’s initial top 50 draft prospect rankings, eight offensive tackles were listed in the top 31 players.”

Is Drafting a WR in the 2ND Really A Good Idea?

I doubt they put a rookie center in front of Bryce. -
You mean like last year
