I remember the Tevin love. Fitts needs extra scouts just for OL. Such an easy position to bust on.

That’s the point. It’s much much easier to find DBs than it is to find quality OL. Teams aren’t even willing to part ways with backups. Its a scarce position. We have to fill it in the draft. FA is super expensive.

That’s one of the things I’m loving about Rhule/Fitts. If a player isn’t helping us win and there is a better option out there, we move on fast.

That’s a hell of a statement to make to your locker room.

Exactly. Drives me nuts when people say we don’t care about the oline. We do, it’s just the hardest position to find talent. Teams don’t just give those guys up.

He would die. On that note, I know his family. Most live in Myrtle beach but some live in Charlotte. I know he would love nothing more than to play for the Panthers.

This team has a lot of promise but the roster is incomplete. The bills hit the Texans 40-0 yesterday. We’re not quite at that level yet.

Can you imagine if he broke the franchise single season rushing TD (QB) record. Crazy town.

Makes me wonder if they would have gone QB or OL in the first if they got him.

What I mean is you can’t pull an O lineman off the street and expect him to play immediately. They need to fully understand the playbook, other linemen, etc. Those guys do way more than just pass pro.

Oline is 1. Hard to get 2. Not plug-n-play.

Fitt sees shades of that first Seahawks SB team. Young/cheap serviceable QB with a nasty defense. Take advantage now before the bills come due.

Let’s look at the jets too. I heard a jets fan say this today. The jets passed on Rhule because they insisted on appointing his coordinators (no snow), traded away Darnold, and Robbie, and passed on CMC for a guy who is no longer on the team. If they were a good org, they’d have our team right now.

His prime window closes according to Father Time. A lot of touches doesn’t help, but his skill set is still going to diminish each year. Dont look for him to get another contract here.

I’d love to go OL in the first and second. Or trade down and get 2-3 OL in the second.
