Well with Stroud you get a young man who has not only shown he can lift your franchise on the field, he’s shown his character is outstanding, and he’s someone that can lead outside in the community. Winning is good, but as a franchise we don’t know much about that. We’ve had our flashes, but that’s all it is; flashes.

This is a losing franchise. We have more losses than wins in our history, and have never had back to back winning seasons. All you fans and this “winning mentality” hasn’t done the franchise any good. Hopefully, the front office is ready to do something different than what they’ve been doing since this ownership has been involved.

I miss Cam. Oh, what could have been… My favorite NFL player of all time. Best panther of all time.

Do you trust Reich to find us (and develop) a franchise QB?
AggieLean replied to t96's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yea, I think Stroud will be available around those picks. I think Levis and Young will be the first QBs off the board, but Stroud will not be available at 9. Im with you on your first point. I was fine doing what we had to do(lose) to secure a top 5 pick. -
Any chance Wilks returns in some capacity?
AggieLean replied to WarHeel's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nah, that’s dead. It was never going to happen once he didn’t get this job. I like Wilks. Think he did a decent job. With that being said, I didn’t want him as the panthers head coach. Didn’t really want Reich, but I do like he has shown to have placed an importance on offense, so I don’t mind the hire. -

Moving up to 1 would take a lot, but if they feel it has to be done to get the QB they want, then I’ll be good with it. Sucks we’re picking 9th. -
As a more tenured engineer, that hires engineers, I agree with your last paragraph. that’s all I have to add
-
Yea, that is cause for concern. If he is indeed the hire, hopefully he has learned from it. I want no more retread QBs. He’s going to need to get Stroud or Levi’s for me to be all in. I like AR, but I don’t know if he’s a match for Reich.

I’m fine with Reich. Seems like he can get some excellent ppl to be apart of his staff; while potentially building someone up to be his heir.

Rhule says he regrets throwing Cam under the bus
AggieLean replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
*awaits the posters who don’t like this subject, to voluntarily come in and complain about how they hate this subject* But, yea, can’t be mad at Rhule for this. Admitting he was wrong. Better late than never -
Which candidates would YOU interview in round two?
AggieLean replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Steichen, Kafka, Reich, Wilks. Not bringing in Payton, because I don’t think he’s serious about this job. Wilks comes in as a show of respect, but it’s unlikely I’d give him the job. -
I’ll take a large #2, but if that’s not available I’ll take a #3 medium.

Trading for Sean Payton vs Settling for Steve Wilks
AggieLean replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
There’s no other option? I’d like Kafka or Steichen. Would even settle for Reich. I don’t want Wilks, and I just feel Payton to whoever is a disaster forthcoming. I’d rather he go to Denver -
Nah. He did a solid job, but I believe the team can do better. I also don’t trust Wilks to develop a new QB or hire the right team to develop one, and that’s what’s most important for the team right now.

Go on record now before the hire is made Re: Sean Payton
AggieLean replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep. You post on this board, I consider you a diehard or atleast a solid fanatic. Whatever happens, most of us will be here come next year celebrating and/or b**tching about a move made. -

Not who I want, and I think it ends badly, but I’d still be a fan. -
How did he quit? He’s injured
-
Just read an article on ESPN where his teammates absolutely want him back, want the Ravens to pay him, and understand his position. Plus, like he said, he was quite injured and wouldn’t have been able to play. lol at “he’s a quitter” and “his teammates have a problem with what he’s doing”

1/17 Athletic/Brugler Mock: Panthers Trade Up
AggieLean replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’ll take this. Let’s hope Levis climbs up the QB board.
