Horn, CJ Henderson, Haynes, Hayden Hurst OUT for Sunday
ChibCU replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
yep I got Lamb in one and am gonna go ahead and start Cooks in the other... this is gonna be nasty. Hoping they don't get any D/ST scores that will slow their offensive scoring. -
Our personnel fits and chosen scheme is like the worst pre-arranged marriage imaginable. We don't have the best brains steering this ship.
-
Multiple years of half-hearted rebuilds that then led up to us thinking the roster was a QB away from being a contender. Here we are. Last in the league.
-
Bozeman wrecked.

Yikes... what's a screen call to AT gonna accomplish?
-
Chark is doubtful to get 500 yards this season.

Seems like today put an exclamation point on it...

We have an owner and his wife cosplaying as general managers. They couldn’t have looked more giddy as they hovered around the draft war room. -
How dare you do Luvu like that
-
Just because the market says he's "worth" something, it doesn't mean we need to be the ones who fall in line with recent contracts. There's a lot of mid-level roster value you can use in place of that one position. A deeper defensive line can make up for the loss of Burns, and for once maybe we'll have some fresh rushers at the end of games. You've seen our defense tends to get gassed and become less of a threat as games go deeper. Edit: There's also something that needs to be said for hedging against risk of injury. Placing lots of salary cap into one player sets up greater risk to where you're having to pick up scraps mid-season when a player goes out.

JT O'Sullivan blasted Ickey for failing basic-level offensive line functions.
-
He's definitely improved in his pass-catching ability, which made him a big liability before. It's hard for me to judge this RB group because I feel like the line and/or scheme are terrible at the moment.

Luvu's been our best defender for two years now.
-
I wonder what an average LT would cost... I do hate giving up draft picks, but I also hate hampering the development of our rookie QB.
-
And we thought that would be a strength this year. Just goes to show how random things can be.

Doubles my Panthers frustration when they cause me to suck more in fantasy football haha
-
Both Sam Darnold and P.J. Walker starting this Sunday.

Carolina Panthers - QB Farm Team? -
It's looking more like Tepper filled the void of Rhule's meddling. The draft day videos of Tepper and his wife cosplaying as GMs is infuriating. This is why our franchise will go nowhere without a stretch of major luck.

While I didn't expect us to be elite defensively against the run, I didn't expect this. It also screwed me over in fantasy... used my week one waiver claim on Tyler Allgeier. Little did I know at the time, the Panthers just sucked immensely and made him look like a star.

Is Jaycee Horn pulling a "business decision McCaffrey" on us?!?

As mentioned, CMC had full seasons and his long injury absences were as much of the team shutting him down as it was him being injured. Horn will have completed his rookie contract and not even remembered as a Panther. -
Corbett activated; Chinn, Gross-Matos, Ricci to IR

Expectations couldn’t be lower. -
If I'm remembering correctly, the next dead ball was end of the half. There is no need to blitz. The only need is to prevent that one play from resulting in a TD.
-
Opposite him and behind him* Since his back-up will actually be the starter.

Appreciate that well-thought out analysis! It does seem like the Lions are the ones we need to be courting, but we'll need some others to show interest if we want to maximize what remaining trade value he has at this point. And in our situation, draft picks don't even need to be for next year.

I agree he should have hit that hole, but those LBs were sitting on the play waiting to see which way he went. There were two that shifted to the outside when Miles committed and easily would have filled the hole if he went inside.
