You need to factor in-season space. *Normally* you want at least 7 million to sign free agents, cause as panther fans we know theres going to be injured players. Minimum 5 million, yea you can have 0, but thats beyond dumb and no one does it. Most teams have 8-5 in season and roll the remains next year. It gos fast, especially if everyone needs ______ , you got to up a signing bonus/other to get the player. Best way to get space(imo) would be signing Moton, Moore, and/or Anderson to extension.

Panthers sign OT Cam Erving - 2 years, 10 million, 8 fully guaranteed
Basbear replied to Varking's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wish we had that luxury for LT. Draft is still in play, but it seems the plan for LT is thunderdome Daley, Little, Erving, Scott. Versatility is a strength for both signed OLmen, but as I stated before is it still a strength if you suck at each positions? -

I like we are signing OL, just dont like the history of tape both put out along with having injuries issues too. I get it, nearly all teams are looking for OL help. With being a draft nut AND wanting OL help form 2015-current, I liked both in the draft. That was a long time ago, they havnt been rookies with potential in years. This honestly feels like the same moves a former GM would have done. Wonder if that would change some of reactions some. -

Pat Elflein 0-1 Cameron Erving 0-2 Zack Kerr plays hard, cheap, and panthers need DTs. YEP lets cut him! 0-3 Im having flashbacks.....RECENT flashblacks..... yea they are somewhat "cheap", but the only thing cheap is their tape. Injuries, Injuries, a history of injuries and when they play subpar is being very nice.. -
Yep, over at sportac they list the agent/firm. Thought theres a chance both had the same rep and maybe you already knew. Wish you could click on the agent/firm and see their cilents. Drew would have one hell of a list... A joke I thought about when looking for a GM, would be hire drew rosenhaus and watch the world burn! I bet thats illegal but I havnt seen that listed anywhere....

That first year is nothing, at least when it jumps to 7+ million the panthers have 100 million in space. Still huge deal for a guy with 90% bad tape, needs a OL guru just like Little... -
In my mock draft, Ive had luck with getting Tedarrell Slaton late rounds. Look into him.

Patriot fans seem excited that Cams back

Its a side effect injecting Cam bath water either by needle or anal insertion. I tried to help him, he doesnt want any, brain rot too strong.. I bet its out of date too, no telling what type of growths Cam Newtons 2015 bath water would have right now. -

I echo the want/love form 2015....but that was 2015. Since then this guy put out a little good tape and LOTS of BAD. Frittererer 0-3 in free agency thus far, including the dumb Kerr cut... Versatility is his "strength", but is it still a strength if you struggle at LT, LG, C, RG, RT? Better hope the coaching staff can fix him to be at least "average". Backup my ass, Trent Scott is a aro-bowler compared to Erv, find other Trent Scotts. -
If you dont like Tua, you will not like Jones either. I see both sides, but lean to Jones being a late second.

0-3 off to a blazen start there Frittererer!!! I swear can anyone tell me if you'd feel different if Herniay was still here and made the same moves? Only thing I can point to about this release, well two things- One Kerr got convid late and never got back to his pre-convid play. Another is his agent asked for this after they wouldnt extend his contract. Kerr is very cheap, played hard, great locker guy, just why????

Where did you rate Tua for the 2020 draft? Try not to factor in this past season at all, you pre-draft feels/rating.

Trey Lance - best QB of this draft not named Lawrence
Basbear replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why?!?!? I going to ignore everything that goes against my beliefs!!1!!11 Also if you look at the league and current history, its easier to find a top tier QB than top tier LT. I want to see Sewells pro day, but right now hes still solid #3 overall. -
Draftek(fav one) just updated over at fanspeak. My haul- 8: R1 P8 QB Trey Lance - North Dakota State 39: R2 P7 OT Jalen Mayfield - Michigan 73: R3 P9 CB Ifeatu Melifonwu - Syracuse 113: R4 P8 WR Sage Surratt - Wake Forest 151: R5 P7 OT James Hudson - Cincinnati 192: R6 P9 LB Jamin Davis - Kentucky 220: R6 P37 TE Tre' McKitty - Georgia 224: R6 P41 C Drew Dalman - Stanford My fav draft far as filling needs/wants. 4th was the hardest round and Sage was just the best overall pick. Got Ifeatu in the 3rd, CB has been my weak point, he makes this a strength as his profile is great given the class. TE Tre was a nice get late, same for LB Jamin, they could get week 1 snaps and grow. C Drew was an look to future, main reason he was Stanfords iron man award winner. edit proof- https://fanspeak.com/ontheclock-nfl-mock-draft-simulator/draft.php?d=mmdqpz

We agree on this for sure, plus given QB contracts are 45+ million now........those rookie deals look even juicer now. Plus you can tag 3 years after a 5th year option.....thats still chicken feed compared to what would be 50 million per at that point. Seems no other QB besides Brady is willing to less, dont blame them one bit tho..
