I honestly didn't believe they were able. I got to add, this feels like Morgan has already had non-BY plans for 2025. For me it feels like Dave, Dan, and even Evero had meetings and all three came to same conclusion- "BY is not it". Dan has drop hits about size, dawg, traits, allllll don't help BY future. props to them, cause I thought would carry over into 2025. Get the 4th rounder and sign a drew lock or fields or both. Dave himself and his BFF OC hit the highway and find some mystery QB worth a mid-round pick(Rocco Becht, Jaxson Dart, Kurtis Rourke, etc etc) Even if you don't find a QB, just build the team and a QB will find you.....just like Jake!!

The one true answer is play to win until you are mathematically eliminated form the playoffs. The second that happens, you are into next year mode. Play the rookies/young players and try new plays. If the old heads don't like it, let them start and rotate the young players. Go for 4th downs, try different methods. like a all-out biltzs. For for gods sake, do NOT win meaningless games. NO ONE CARES OR REMEMBERS! You not only improve your 1st pick but every single round as well. The value difference between having a top 3 picks and 16th is like the distance from earth to the moon. This panthers team would 100% have Herbo if not for a late 17th week season fluff win over the iants. Those "win at all cost" nuts don't have the brain power to understand

It blew me away that was his answer. I was no fan of his draft wise, but he's a panther. He should done everything in the off-season to better himself. I never had BY stock, but everyone should have sold that moment.

Fact - green Bay fired their DC Jim Bates for that game.

I member you, you are in one of those "I use to post more" stages. Best I recall, you always were a solid poster. True is if old posters change their avatars, I would totally lose who they are.

For sure my memory needs exercising! I recalled walls and kasay. Jake is still far ahead.....wiffed on mills.....Bates got me too. I think they missed on rocket, he had 1k when it was a big deal. (I thought of him right when I hit the reply) Still most on that list are one year wonders and old timers. I'd take luvu panthers stats over my main guy geenes. white didn't move the stats any here. Barring injuries or women problems, hunt should pass every not named Jake. (I'm not the biggest mills fan).
-
I know its early and I personally trashed giving OGs big money, but he's already passed Matt whale imo. Maybe only Lucas and Jake are ahead....maybe luvu too.... Panthers has one trash FA history. Bunch of one hit wonders and past prime jobbers..... hold on where does kasay and walls count as??

Listening to baldy's breaks down after panthers win-

I was like others in "this is pure trash".....but if they all were healthy I feel it would be at least around 18, 20th ranked If you dropped one miles garrett, it would changed everyone's output and jumped to ranks to top 10ish. It's not as bad as I once thought, but still plenty of room for improvements. Arob has looked like dbrown at times, dam shame they lost the best player. Even dbrown back on the team, it would benifit the DL, LBs, and DBs not a little bit either. Add a couple more players and put up spots for grabs along with hitting on a legit rookie edge pressure machine. Panthers would start to feel like the old defenses ..somewhat...

Yep the wins came against other bad teams, still they are NFL teams and on the schedule. I was thinking like you and just proof "These guys are solid enough, just need to stay healthy" Shaq said he wants to play five more years and already said hes coming back. Give the guy the vet min and duel it out with Wallace for starting or even rotate them some. Of course I want a playmaking edge. I said solid too many times, but difference makers are not solid. There's no turnover, sack machine, big play player on the unit with Dbrown healthy, sorry not sorry. I feel that would push the team over the top, just having heath and one sack/pressure/TO/FF machine on the line. NT would not hurt either, a true one.

Lavar was one of the Gilbert 1st, that guy was scary before injuries. Like peppers he skipped some eras in human evolution. Father time has gotten a hold of me these last few years. Most of friends/people I know are older and all tell me "Just wait".....like Im already losing the gray beard and the only reason I kept the thing is Im a few LBs over my limit......the pains and I swear five years ago I told my best friend- "Im at the age where Im getting stupider each passing month..." ugh

their history with QBs can not be real life. I get the weather and all, but no way no chance its real.....

Before his concussion deal, tremble would have been a good FB. I think that's what Dave needs, I seen sanders acting as one a few times and thought- wtf??
-
You have a gift my friend!
-
I think Bagnet could play better at this point.
-
Before XL there was TD, be honest- did you you have trouble understanding him?
-
My issue too is form Icky to Hunt you would have had young studs under contract control for the next 3 years, unreal if you have that on a NFL team. I promise you RBs, WRs, TES, and even QBs would be telling their agents- "I want to play for the Panthers, make it happen!"

I maybe huffin the hopuim too much for the defense during 2 games winning. If DJ played like that each game(??), DBrown, Turlte, ARob(who's been like Dbrown), clowny That's a solid front 5, or is it too much homer huffin?? Then Jewell and Shaq Again solid, not trash or elite. Horn(heathly) Mike Jackson. Dane Jackson, Woods, and Fuller I swear the "solid" enough feels are here again Of course Id love to drop a elite edge and have DJ come off the bench or another stud CB, but I swear if that group was 100% healthy I feel they'd be around 18th best. (yes still need a true NT). Please correct me.

That's about right and worth more than zero. The list of tag and trades for close in value - our own clowney, Javis Landry, Yannick Ngakoue BY size chance, Im mainly praising him and Morgan should know his value well enough. LTs get PAID and there's only around 14 of them the rest are acting like LTs. This could be a classic and Im a sucker for classics (truth told). If he keeps playing LT at a high level, you will be in shock at dem contract zeros, brother! lewis got 4 yrs 53 and hunt got 100 million. Neither of them could play LT and I have huge doubts about either at C. What christ did moving from C to LT within one week and not miss a beat, that my friend is pure talent. Talent gets PAID in the NFL. You may even start up trading Icky and drop a bag for Christ rumors...... Im willing to bet right now he gets over 10mill per/

Thing is Andy was already here. Drew had a full off-season&season with Daves system and others coaches helping. I got not clue how Drew would do here, there's barely any in-game snaps and Ive never seen him in a practice setting. He should be NFL QB "cheap", that's one of the biggest reasons cause panthers barley have any cap space. Plus it seemed the staff when after him, but lots changes in a NFL year. Dave could be all-in on rookie to pair with this very young team.

I honestly dont know. All I heard is he has matured greatly after his first 3 years and he was going pass for pass with Geno. It was a coin flip about who Seattle was going to start, they picked the older player and geno has played great. Dave canales staff went hard after him, I heard Dan Morgan offered nearly top backup pay. Drew picked giants cause he wanted the easiest path to starting. Dave even went public and he was talking about drew lock here(without naming him)-https://www.profootballrumors.com/2024/05/panthers-interested-in-veteran-qb-addition Just like any 1st round QB, he's got petty of talent. He's not too big of name to hurt BYs ego. I will say my opinion is that drew would be a better QB than BY.
