  1. It’s possible. He went from bad to terrible. Been there plenty of times so i can empathize. but the fan in me is saying that he’s getting paid millions and many people said he’s mentally tough because his dad is a therapist, so he should’ve been able to compartmentalize and still ball.
  2. There will probably be some QBs who'd want to avoid coming here. That's fine. However, there will be some who will be glad to come here. Remember when Luck avoided us by going back to college (not sure if proven but it seems that way), but Cam outwardly expressed interest in coming here and going #1? He was the better fit for us. So if they want to avoid coming here then that's on them. We'll take who wants to come here and wants the challenge. I just want a QB who wants to inflict pain on defenses again instead of someone who gives free stats and accolades.
  3. most of the media is just taking the safe route in completely placing the blame on Tepper. They are basically implying that Tepper is the reason why Bryce can't throw, can't read defenses, can't hit open receivers, can't call protections, can't throw the ball past 10 yards, gets sacked. I don't remember the last time Tepper was on the field on Sundays. It's a breath of fresh air when people actually look at the film. Heck, just watching him play during the broadcast is enough to tell that the kid can't play.
  4. not watching, but every team can't expect to have a perfect o-line. can't wait for the perfect scenario to move forward. gotta be able to scheme around deficiencies and work with what you got. at least thats what I feel is right as a fan.
  5. I mean if their QB was touted as so cerebral, a football savant, ball placement specialist, great anticipator, and most pro-ready QB then they'd start their rookie QB right away as well.
  6. Just listened to his interview and despite sounding very scripted, he does sound like he’s been humbled. He said he expected to come in and have a smooth transition, but that’s not the NFL. Maybe he took his opportunity for granted and didn’t care to work on the little things. Maybe this will change him for the better.
  7. The Golden Calf of Bristol is a good dude but folks were ready to move on from him because he was a terrible QB. The same criteria that were used to judge The Golden Calf of Bristol apply to Bryce.
  8. Yes, but the Lord can't make you care about your craft. He can't make you passionate about your game. He can't make you work on your deficiencies, you have to want to. Bryce hasn't shown that he wants to. I hope this lights a fire under him and instead of taking it as a victim, take it as a growth opportunity (as Canales puts it) and proves everyone wrong about him (myself included).
  9. It's even worse when you attach numbers to what we've seen for 18 games. For folks who factor in analytics and stuff...the analytics say that benching Bryce is the right move.
  10. I have confidence in every Andy I know: Andy Reid, Andy Dalton, Andy Barclay, Toy Story Andy.
  11. This is Canales holding people accountable and it don’t matter if the team traded many assets to get you.
  12. Still early to accurately evaluate Dan because the offense has been hindered by Bryce. Because the offense has been trash it has a direct impact on the defense. I’ll reserve judgment until later. Dan deserves more than 2 games.
  13. If true, it’s the most emotion he’s shown since he’s been here. Well, I take it back. That last interception he threw he sure showed a lot of emotion there as well.
  14. Bryce should've reframed it to seeing Casper instead because he's a friendly ghost.
  15. all I know is that Bryce couldn't get the ball out in under 2.7 seconds, so he was benched before he played 2.7 games this season.
  16. Plummer showed more progress in 3 preseason games than I'd say Bryce ever shown throughout 18 games. I was ready to go all in on Bryce following the Green Bay Game, but he followed up that performance with a quick regression to the status quo. I agree that Morgan and Canales went out and addressed the biggest criticisms of Bryce's rookie year, that he had no WR and no O-line. They went out and did exactly that, yet Bryce remained the same and/or regressed from an already regressed state. I feel bad for Bryce the person, but I don't for the football player. I also feel the Dawg mentality Morgan preached was a shot at Bryce as well because, like you said, his nonverbal communication conveyed that he was there just to be there.
  17. The most Panther thing to happen would be that Dalton gets injured during the game against the Raiders and Bryce has to come back in =/
  18. I think Canales also said yesterday in his presser that he wanted guys who loved football. I didn't know until yesterday that Bryce spent his offseason playing games and watching Netflix, and distancing himself from all-things football. That is a huge indicator of where his heart is.
  19. When he was hired, Canales said he was excited to work with a number one overall pick. Maybe he forgot that Baker was #1 overall as well? But it sounded more like he was excited to work with Bryce. Once OTAs started he said that being new he wasn't emotionally tied to anyone and that he can make objective decisions. During camp Morgan (and maybe Canales as well) stated that this was a big man's game when talking about the team. Around the time of the second preseason game, Canales stated that he was hoping Dalton would be ready to play so that they can properly evaluate the guys. I think knowing that Bryce did not have the tools to succeed in his offense or NFL is what led to him not playing Bryce and "hiding" him until the third preseason game. The guy has an outside perspective on Bryce as an opponent. Then he gets to know Bryce as coach and QB. Somewhere along the way he realized that what he saw on tape and what he saw on the practice field day in and day out, that there was no progression, that Bryce had hit his ceiling. Like many of us fans, Canales wasn't basing his decision to bench Bryce off a 2-game performance. This was based on 18 games. Bryce may have the durability to take hits but his height matters. He didn't regress nor did he lose his confidence. We've seen the same Bryce since September 10th, 2023.
  20. I’d like to believe that it was Canales’ decision but all last year Reich was saying the same thing too once things started changing. Time will tell if Tepper is still meddling.
  21. David Tepper's failure is now complete. - Darth Vader voice.
  22. With Young off the field anything is possible. I hope Dalton doesn’t get injured again because I don’t want to see Bryce play another down for the Panthers.
