  1. They were waaaaay off last year apparently. I think we both have agreed if we get to 6 wins is a solid year so 4.5 might be around expectations honestly.
  2. Hey it's the offseason. All we can talk about are offseason things. When the season starts we can look at actual performance vs expectations and etc...
  3. This is huge. We haven't had a great draft in a long time...
  4. Check out this article from the Athletic someone sent me. Looks like Callahan was all set to come here, Tennessee just beat us to the punch. "when someone offers you one of these jobs, you take it." There are only 32 HC jobs in the league. I'm not sure we really were scraping at the bottom of the barrel for someone to come here. Vrabel came out for an interview so he was at least interested as well.
  5. You can spin the Baker thing either way honestly. He is definitely streaky, but his first year in Tampa DC had him playing at his peak. He was on his 4th team in 2 years so let's no pretend like he was the guy and we were just that bad. I mean he did have CMC and Moore with us and no doubt we were much worse than Tampa and Cleveland, but he was in a bit of a rut and struggling after that injury in Cleveland. Sam Darnold outplayed him and took the job back from him on the same roster. Canales helped him get his confidence back and play back to his top form again. I believe he was up for comeback player of the year? It wasn't as impressive as his work with Geno, but it was still something to be proud of IMO. Bucs fans seemed pretty upset as a whole that we took him from them which sounds like a good thing.
  6. We met with the Texas RB too. Brooks I believe.
  7. I think some fans are very guarded about any positive comments or hype after the past couple seasons. Regardless there has been a trend of QBs playing better when Canales is involved. Hopefully that is the case here too!
  8. Oh no I don’t think he is fake. Reminds me of a more faith and family oriented Pete Carroll. The overly animated personalities are annoying, mainly when they are winning. My dad was a big South Carolina fan so maybe it’s instilled in my head to be turned off by whoever is coaching Clemson. Regardless he is a hell of a coach. Definitely respect what he has done there.
  9. I don't really like him but he is one hell of a coach. I know recruiting was his specialty, so I am curious to see how he adapts to NIL.
  10. There definitely appears to be at least a trend that is following Canales. Maybe it’s a coincidence? Maybe not? Also Russ had his best seasons under DC and Geno dropped slightly when he left Seattle. Let’s hope he knows what he is doing.
  11. Not that it matters, but I feel like Robinson will be out DT and Tuttle can slide to DE.
  12. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear Sanders was playing hurt last year. He was held out of practices early on recovering from a groin injury and never really looked himself. I mean I know he isn’t elite but he should at least look serviceable…
  13. Nah man. Get hyped and enjoy yourself! If it doesn’t work out it’s not from Dan’s lack of effort. Free agency has been fun/eventful despite how it may unfold. I’m curious to see how we draft now.
  14. Someone also shared with me Jammie Robinson was a former cock before he transferred to FSU.
  15. So many gamecocks with Wonnnum, Horn, Clowney, and possibly Gilly?
  16. Yeah unless he drops to the later rounds we can't afford the risk associated with him.
  17. I was simply stating it is there and I would like to see more of it as well. We get it, you are over him. Why are you torturing yourself by trying to talk about him constantly? If it's "depressing" you then perhaps find something else to talk about? The people on here that are the most anti-Bryce are the ones who want to constantly talk about him. Just take a look at the top posters on this topic.
  18. Oh I get the PR stuff, but I mean he had a few moments last year I would like to see more of. I would like to see some of that passion as he gets more comfortable. Players can feed off of it. He showed it in college more IMO.
