  1. He missed some passes he should have made. Definitely rushed some throws due to the blitzes. He didn’t turn it over or lose the game for us, but he also wasn’t the reason we won. I’d give Bryce a wash for the game. Played within the gameplan and had some nice drives with a couple meh ones.
  2. We beat them handily. As bad as we have been it’s worth celebrating. It’s just because we didn’t air it out and throw a bunch of TD passes making it look less dominate. We stuck to our gameplan though and it seemed to work. It doesn’t mean we are that much better than them I get that. I mean the Browns beat GB. However today, during our first home game, we were the better team while missing our RG, C, DT, Edge, and WR2. Yeah our passing offense needs some work but hopefully these new weapons in TMac, Brycen, and HR get worked in better as the season progresses.
  3. I remember seeing Penix struggle in the playoffs in college because he was constantly pressured and not playing a PAC12 defense. If you can keep pressure on him he becomes pretty bad.
  4. We gifted them one of those FGs with a dropped punt so I wouldn’t give the Falcons much credit for the first one. We also kept Penix from getting comfortable. Evero was dialing up some blitzes and it worked.
  5. Hard to hate on the HC after a dominate win. We were coaching circles around ATL even after the muffed punt opportunity. Bryce didn’t do much but he didn’t have to so I call it a wash for him. No turnovers is an improvement I suppose.
  6. Lee Ziemba was Cam’s LT. I think we drafted him in the 7th or maybe he was a undrafted rookie we signed. Regardless he didn’t make it very long in the NFL.
  7. Ward, then the prior year was Bo Nix, and Jayden Daniels.
  8. Agreed. You heard the man lock it up!
  9. It's a shot in the dark like it is with most QBs. I just know he has played in the NFL for what 4 years now? Learned under Shanahan, McCarthy, and now Harbaugh. He has has 143 attempted passes and 65 carries in this league during the regular season. He checks everything you want physically. It could be a fun option to watch while we keep building this roster and look at drafting a future QB. I still wouldn't hold my breath on it but it's interesting and a cheap option.
  10. He has been a backup his last 2 stops. Here he would have a chance to start with a decent OL and having TMac helps. If he ever wants to make a lot of money he is going to have to be a starter somewhere.
  11. I'm not against bringing in Trey Lance honestly. He has sat for a while under several different solid coaches and he is still only 25 (turns 26 in May). He has every physical tool you want and I'd like to see what Canales can get out of him. I mean he got the Niners to take him at 3 who typically know what they are doing, they just stumbled into Purdy while he was out.
  12. He set a record in 2023 with 103 tackles becoming the only DL in league history with over 100 tackles. Also a majority of DB's tackles are happening at the LOS like this. He is absolutely worth the money and people hating on him just have some misplaced anger at this point. There are plenty of things to be disappointed with currently about this team and DB is not one of them. Imagine having actual decent LB play behind this man.
  13. How many QBs hit from any school? I've seen these arguments a lot but honestly so few even hit that it looks bad for most. Recent history on UNC for example, Mitch bust, and Howell was at one time a 1st rounder dropped to 5th and is now on his 3rd team, so maybe the Pats shouldn't have drafted Maye? Nah you never scout the school. Even the ones you mentioned are outliers in their own schools. Baker was dominated for a pretty dominate school, but I can't think of many Oklahoma QBs aside from him. It takes so much for these guys to find success. Clemson had Watson and then he fell off mentally, Lawrence isn't living up to his hype, Cade is struggling before he is even drafted, Whitehurst and Boyd never did anything, and Dantzler had to change positions.
  14. OSU only has a a couple 1st rounders, Haskins- didn't look good but career was cut short, Fields- Bears about ruined him, and Stroud who looks legit.
  15. Leavitt is a redshirt sophomore. I'd be surprised if he declares as well.
  16. If we want a big arm that can’t read defenses we can just sign DJU from the LAC practice squad
  17. Here is his Ole Miss tape from Saturday. He should have won this game but his WR fumbles on their 20 at the end. 13:20 is a nice tight window throw while stepping up in a messy pocket. He does seem a little slow on his reads or maybe it's the slowing down of the video that is messing me up.
  18. I know I keep saying it, but you should check out Taylen Green. Has all the tools just needed to cut down on his turnovers and this year he looks to be doing it. Petrino helping develop him already has near 900 passing with 11 TDs to 2 INTs and over 300 rushing with another 3 TDs. 6'6" with a strong arm and fast. 5th year starter from Boise St to Arkansas as well.
  19. Our LBs covering Pitts and Bijan is scary
  20. App St fan? Joey could be a good NFL QB but he is probably a mid round guy with limited upside in a college offense. I’m not against taking him in the later rounds as a backup with some potential.
  21. Defense only gave up 20 points, under 100 rushing yards, and under 300 total yards. 1 sack, 4 TFL, 4 QB hits, and 5 PDs. That’s pretty respectable considering how the offense put them in some bad spots. Also TMac is legit, JT is coming along, Tremayne showed a little something, Princely got a sack, Ransom made some plays. Maybe just maybe we can develop some young talent from a change and build a roster. Shout out to Smith-Wade as well who offenses tend to avoid with Horn.
  22. Playing great and he is working with not much…. His top receiver is Austin Hooper right now.
