Exactly. We actually have a staff that is going to let our rookie develop even if he struggles early.
-
Dumb stuff! How do you feel about Pogs?
-
Baker might not be starting, Kyler is hurt again and his job might be in jeopardy (especially if they can land Caleb Willians). Oklahoma’s glory days are gone now that Riley left and they have to play better competition in the SEC. Boomers won’t be booming anymore…
-
Yeah he lost his job to Tua who went in the first round. Saban encouraged him to transfer so he could play his last year. To think Jalen was undraftable out of Alabama is a bit naive. He was getting drafted, granted Oklahoma probably got him drafted higher than he was going to out of Alabama, but who knows. A QB projected to go in the 2nd round will usually play his final year if he can.
-
So he wasn’t an Alabama QB for 3 years? Brady wasn’t very draftable out of Michigan, Warner out of Northern Illinois or wherever he played. He transferred because Tua was going to be the starter and he wanted to start.
-
Yeah he took Alabama to the championship game where Tua came in for him and won it.
-
For 1 year. 75% of his career was at Alabama.

Damn Malik Cunningham just made a great play only to have it dropped…
-
Yes that is how it works. He is projected to be the best QB on the roster based on his talent. He needs experience. AR will start over Minshew before he is the better QB based on his potential as well.
-
Didn’t they lose that pick when trading back up for Will Anderson or was that they Browns first they traded?
-
The funny thing is the Pats are probably the worst team in their division. At least they have the worst roster…
-
Makes you wonder if they are going in the season with him as the week 1 starter or plan on working him into the starting lineup later in the season.
-
Eh I would worry too much about it. They are invested in Stroud. Mills is just more experienced and isn’t really shredding the defense. I’m sure Manning’s backup looked better than him his rookie year when he was throwing INTs like there was no tomorrow. If you are starting a rookie at QB you should assume they will struggle early but get better with experience. You have to develop your rookie. You could argue Dalton looked better than Young in the Jets practice, but that is pretty much expected this early in these rookies’ careers.
-
Is Will Anderson playing?
-
I would hope so. Wasn’t he the full time starter last year vs a rookie’s first preseason series?
-
Then pull him after a bad decision… It’s like they are doing everything to slow down his progression.
-
For some reason they aren’t playing all of their starting OL. Seems like an odd move when you are trying to develop your rookie QB…
-
He has the arm talent, but I think you are right. The transition from the OSU offense to a below average Houston offense will take time…
-
Damn didn't realize he put on that kind of weight. He looked good running the ball with Foreman under Wilks. His hands still need some work though...

A think Shy deflected one of Rodgers’ passes as well.

Camp Confidential: New-Look Panthers Compete at Training Camp
ForJimmy replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah Chark has potential to be a WR1 if he can stay healthy. Chark and Thielen aren’t a bad WR1 and WR2. If Mingo or TMJ show out this year our WR room might be pretty decent. -
Love the post and info you put out there. They definitely have some options with Mays and BC being so versatile. Jensen could be a nice surprise for depth going forward as well. I’m just not 100% sure BC would be great as a long term RT. I always think of bigger power blockers when I think of RTs but then again the game is definitely changing.

It's Jets joint practice Day 1 (8.9.2023)

McCray, Jensen, Zavala, and Mayes should have some decent options there while Corbett recovers. Campen will get the best out of them. -

The same poster crying about Young being too small all draft is the same one crying about him throwing an INT in a scrimmage. I would have never guessed.... Man when he throws a legit INT that person is going to explode.
