Yeah but he was young and learning the system. He grew/developed into making reads and has like what 1 INT? That’s shows he is coachable, something Sam has never shown…

I get why some didn't want Watson, but it's not a happy time.

He picked Miami over Charlotte. Miami (also no state income tax) is more desirable than Charlotte for a young star. Unless we develop a strong program that’s always competitive, players will always pick the bigger cities. -
Most of the QBs in this draft have flaws which actually works in our favor. One will probably fall to us or if we are picking very high, we trade down and still snag one. Corral and Willis are my two favorites currently.
-
Neither are half of the QBs drafted in the first, but you need one to be competitive.

Coming from you, I’ll take it as a compliment.

QB are always overvalued. It’s nothing special to this class. Wilson and Lance shouldn’t have been 2 and 3 and Mac shouldn’t have been a first rounder. It’s just that important of a position. A position which we don’t seem to value like other teams…

Would love to have Malik here. It would be a big jump in competition so we would need a vet to start the year until he is ready.
-
They are doing it for Watson which currently is a huge upgrade as he would be to most QBs in the league.

Tua is currently a mid tier QB with a lot of room to grow and develop. He hasn’t played a full season’s worth of games and is putting up solid numbers behind a worse line than ours. He should only get better as he develops AND is on a rookie contract. He is also a lefty which means Moton is protecting his blindside. He is also on a rookie contract. The Dolphins haven’t given him a real chance, but see an opportunity to get a young top 5 QB talent in Watson.

What ELITE level coaching looks like and can do for your Franchise

It didn’t work. Other teams caught on and we spiraled just like Denver is now.

I don’t get the hate on Howell. He is a local kid that would have been the top pick if he left last year. He has a great deep ball (something we have been missing since healthy Cam) and can scramble ( which we need with our line). If he falls to us I don’t see why we would pass unless we do something stupid like trade for Watson… which would mean we wouldn’t have a 1st anyway.

do we think the watson trade is announced today (10/26)

Today makes senses because (unless you play Thursday) you get nearly a full week to get some practice reps in. With the Texans playing the Dolphins I wonder if it’s today for Carolina or next week for Miami. Honestly watch him still be a Texan after the deadline… -
We will have to give up something for someone to take on that contract

Yeah and couldn’t throw a deep pass and checked down on 3rd and long. Once teams realized this they just kept their safeties in the box. He went to Denver for a 6th.
