  1. Let’s not derail this topic with Watson crap. The Tinderbox is where that belongs. This thread is about Sam Donaldson.... wait?
  2. Our line graded out average and Davis was one of the better RBs at making something out of nothing. He had the best in the business in CMC for several games then got Davis who was one of the top backs and getting yards after contact. DJ, Anderson, and Samuel were one of the better 3 set WRs. Two of the got over 1000 yards and Samuel just got paid after his year. Our offense needed a TE and could have used an upgrade at LT (wasn’t bad when Okung played) but comparing them to the Jets..... not even close. I want Fields or Lance even if it involves a trade up. I wouldn’t complain if we got Tua some how. Staying put with Teddy is probably my least favorite option. I could maybe get on board if we overhaul our line. However buying low on Darnold, trading Teddy, and getting a Mond, Mills, or Newman in the later rounds would be another option. Not ideal, but we would save money (assuming we trade Teddy). Darnold can start with Mills, Mond, or Newman developing behind him. If he does terrible and we aren’t convinced by whoever we draft we try to get our guy in the next draft. I’m just saying it’s another option that just trying again with the same guy who couldn’t get a game winning drive in like 8 attempts last year after being in the league like 5 years.
  3. I don’t think it affects the line and receivers that much. Vick was lefty and so was Steve Young. The Eagles players looked better than ever Vick’s first year and the Niners didn’t miss a beat when Young became their starter. These guys are the best of the best a minor tweak like that won’t hurt then too much. Plus Tua is young and would be leaning our system. It would take a year or two for the offense to hit its stride regardless more than likely.
  4. It’s hard to compare then fairly since Darnold had no help whatsoever in NY. I mean no line, no weapons, and no running game. I’m not crazy about him, but I believe he has more potential than Teddy.
  5. Just checking in to see if we signed anyone for our secondary...
  6. It depends on what we give up for him. The 8th pick would be off the table IMO.
  7. I’d take him out to a nice dinner AND call him the next day.
  8. Tua would be great. Also he is a lefty so Moton would be protecting his blind side which is perfect.
  9. We don’t have the line/system for him to succeed
  10. The Niners would actually be a good spot for Mac Jones. He can step in right away when Jimmy gets hurt. They have a good offensive line/running game and a solid defense. He can get the ball out quick and make smart reads.
  11. What are your thought on a Davis Mills or Jamie Newman as a project in the mid rounds for plan Y & Z?
  12. Makes sense. Thanks as always for your input!
  13. I’m assuming it’s Jags-Lawrence, Jets- Wilson, and then we try to trade with Miami for Fields at 3. If the Jets take Sewell at 2 then we can look at trading with the Bengals at 5 for Fields/Lance.
  14. You think Atlanta is wanting a QB? If I were them I would wait a few more years, but shouldn’t they just stay at 4 and take Lance or Fields?
  15. Honestly, I’d rather draft Franks than Trask. He has a better arm.
  16. https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2340678-power-ranking-the-10-greatest-college-football-qbs-of-all-time.amp.html This is why you can go strictly on college QB stats. A couple good QBs in the top 25 college QB list. You have to look at his they can play at the next level with better competition. It’s why Mac Jones won’t go number 1 overall to the Jags.
  17. Yeah I just don’t see how you can possible get/think 12 women are willing to play along/lie/sacrifice their career and reputation just to get some money from Watson. I mean these women obviously work with NFL players, so they probably aren’t really hurting for cash. I don’t get why any team is still interested in him at this point.
  18. A luxury pick in the top 10? Don’t get me wrong Chase is great, but that would leave Teddy trying to throw him the ball with no real LT to give him protection. Plus DJ, Anderson, Moore, and CMC are going to take away catches/opportunities for him.
  19. I don’t see us staying put if there is a run early. If we don’t we either take a top LT or trade down and pick up a project in a Newman, Mills, Mond later as back up/possible starter. This would also give us assets to trade up next year and get our guy if we aren’t satisfied.
  20. Yeah if it’s truly fabricated (by 7 plus women is hard to believe), he should be addressing the fans, going to the police, and suing this lawyer for defamation and other things immediately. Even if he settles or gets this dropped, it seems he was doing something inappropriate for this number of women to be so high...
  21. Davis Mills had a pretty solid Pro Day...
  22. Yeah 3 is a no go for an unknown rookie for me too. I would like to hold on to our second for a LT also. Something like 1st, 3rd, 2022 1st, 2022 5th. I mean we are only moving up 5 spots.
  23. I hope so! Keeps our young defense, doesn’t cost as many picks and will be on the rookie salary. What do you think it will take to get that pick from Miami?
