Yeah if Brown had direct contact that CB would be on the ground instantly. I hope Brown gets a chance to start soon…

Slater looked good his preseason game, but was going against a 7th round rookie. If they both become great players then yeah you want the LT over the CB, I’m just not sure our staff was high on Slater at LT… I think Horn has the higher floor and ceiling in our staff’s eyes.

Watch out Jaycee Horn! Burns is taking your spot!

I think center was the position he played in college. If he looked decent at LT with bad play at LG he might be serviceable there. I think Elf also played center, but he didn’t look so hot last night from what I hear.

Grier makes more sense for the backup job. He will take less risks and try not to to lose any games with mistakes. You want that more than explosive riskiness in a backup IMO, especially now that we might have a decent defense. The way Teddy plays is ideal for a backup. Take what the defense gives you and let your teammates make plays to sneak a win out. Grier fits that mold the most out of the 2.

Paradis was looking decent last year, so let’s see if he was just needing to get his feet wet. Also how does everyone feel about a Moton, Elf/Daley, Erving (C), Miller, Christensen early on? I believe Erving has played C before…

Our new kicker has a mustache…

So he might be able to play……. LT?!

Matt Rhule's QBs troughout his coaching career

Meh 3 years is hardly enough time to turn these programs into top recruiting destinations. He took them from bottom tier to double digit wins in 3 years by coaching smart and having his players buy in and play hard despite not having the top recruits/talent. The overall record is pretty insignificant as well. He flipped 2 programs in 6 years that were in shambles. He is great at rebuilding football programs and hopefully that will translate to the NFL. -
The Huddle isn’t a source PJ. It’s a forum. We sometimes quote sources so maybe that’s why you got confused….

Fantasy Island huh? Seems like a logical, rational source…

Ok this is starting to feel like a trap game. I hope we don’t overlook them… Also thoughts go out to Vinny. I hope he gets his health under control. -
Honestly it might be Grier at this point. PJ has had more experience/chances to show what he can do and it’s very inconsistent. Grier seems to be more of the “take what the defense gives you” kind of player, which is fine for a backup. He also might have a little more potential IMO. With that said, my feelings would not be hurt if we sighed someone else and cut both Grier and Walker.
