  1. “That’s just a fact BRO.” -Boomer fan
  2. Well he would have been backing up 1st round pick Tua again, so yeah he needed to transfer to get playing time. Good looking out by Saban which hurts me to say as an Auburn fan… Alabama has become a QB factory lately.
  3. Lol you have gone off the deep end. Please respect the players point of view and acknowledge the school he spent a majority of his college career at like he wants. https://www.si.com/college/alabama/.amp/bamacentral/the-extra-point-jalen-hurts-true-alma-mater-de-siver
  4. You asked why would he rep them? He specifically did in a recent interview. So if I click on ESPN’s college stats for Hurts Alabama won’t he listed? Keep reaching Boomer…
  5. You might want to let Hurts know this… https://rolltidewire.usatoday.com/2023/01/22/bama-in-the-nfl-watch-jalen-hurts-reminds-reporter-that-he-went-to-alabama-too/ https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/alabama-football/jalen-hurts-discusses-allegiances-to-alabama-oklahoma-i-have-so-much-love-for-both-of-them/
  6. He will be fun to watch. If they can develop him the NFL could be in trouble. However with their owner, I’m skeptical they will give him what he needs to succeed…
  7. I originally wanted Stroud over Young, but thought and still think both will have good careers. As soon as our staff picked Young I assumed he was the right choice. Between Caldwell, Reich, Brown, and McCown they have a lot of bright offensive minds. Based on what I’ve seen so far Young has confirmed why he was the right choice. It’s still insanely early in either player’s career, but it’s hard to argue against Young being the guy based on what we have all seen/heard so far.
  8. Exactly. We actually have a staff that is going to let our rookie develop even if he struggles early.
  9. Dumb stuff! How do you feel about Pogs?
  10. Baker might not be starting, Kyler is hurt again and his job might be in jeopardy (especially if they can land Caleb Willians). Oklahoma’s glory days are gone now that Riley left and they have to play better competition in the SEC. Boomers won’t be booming anymore…
  11. Yeah he lost his job to Tua who went in the first round. Saban encouraged him to transfer so he could play his last year. To think Jalen was undraftable out of Alabama is a bit naive. He was getting drafted, granted Oklahoma probably got him drafted higher than he was going to out of Alabama, but who knows. A QB projected to go in the 2nd round will usually play his final year if he can.
  12. So he wasn’t an Alabama QB for 3 years? Brady wasn’t very draftable out of Michigan, Warner out of Northern Illinois or wherever he played. He transferred because Tua was going to be the starter and he wanted to start.
  13. Yeah he took Alabama to the championship game where Tua came in for him and won it.
  14. For 1 year. 75% of his career was at Alabama.
  15. Damn Malik Cunningham just made a great play only to have it dropped…
  16. Yes that is how it works. He is projected to be the best QB on the roster based on his talent. He needs experience. AR will start over Minshew before he is the better QB based on his potential as well.
  17. Didn’t they lose that pick when trading back up for Will Anderson or was that they Browns first they traded?
  18. The funny thing is the Pats are probably the worst team in their division. At least they have the worst roster…
  19. Makes you wonder if they are going in the season with him as the week 1 starter or plan on working him into the starting lineup later in the season.
  20. Eh I would worry too much about it. They are invested in Stroud. Mills is just more experienced and isn’t really shredding the defense. I’m sure Manning’s backup looked better than him his rookie year when he was throwing INTs like there was no tomorrow. If you are starting a rookie at QB you should assume they will struggle early but get better with experience. You have to develop your rookie. You could argue Dalton looked better than Young in the Jets practice, but that is pretty much expected this early in these rookies’ careers.
  21. I would hope so. Wasn’t he the full time starter last year vs a rookie’s first preseason series?
