  1. Of course there is risk. You don’t get a top 10 pick from the previous draft for cheap without some sort of injury, personality, or performance risk. Let’s let our staff do their job and see if they can get him playing like he did at Florida.
  2. The real question is why didn’t these teams trading with us try harder to acquire these players in the offseason? I’m going to let this staff do their thing. So far I’ve been pretty impressed with them.
  3. Oline is right behind QB in value. Teams don’t part with young talented ones. If they do, it takes top assets to get them. A first round pick might get you a disgruntled talented RT like the Chiefs did with the Ravens, but that’s a little risky too.
  4. People that are questioning this move have just been conditioned from terrible GM moves by Hurney for so long. This staff seems legit and if they make a mistake (Teddy) they move on/correct it very quickly. I’m learning to trust them and let them work their magic! In Fitts we trust!
  5. Agreed. If he buys into this team’s culture it will be insane how good our secondary can be. I think Horn, Chinn, and DJax will have him fired up and ready to play. Plus he has to know it’s now or never. If you have issues with one organization it’s one thing, but two and it’s the only two you played for then teams start thinking you are the problem…
  6. If he really wanted out and clashes with the new staff then I get it. It really feels like we fleeced them though…
  7. A top 10 pick with only 1 year of experience. It just blows my mind how quickly they gave up on him. He really hasn’t been that bad when he played. They could have signed Arnold this past offseason if he is what attracted them. If they can’t develop players our 3rd round pick will be useless to them…
  8. I’m confused as to why the Jags wanted to move on from him so soon?
  9. I think Brown and Christensen will be upgrading our line sooner or later
  10. Damn. I kind of like Dan Arnold… Tremble must be coming along better than expected!
  11. It definitely looks like we made the right decision for our franchise. Fields wasn’t ready to start (especially behind that line) and we needed some immediate return in our investment. Darnold is looking the part and Horn appears to be the real deal (providing he stays healthy). I wouldn’t write off Fields after having him start too early with that staff in one game though. I personally think Fields will be fine, but we made the right decision for where our franchise is.
  12. He makes sense as a fill in/vet who can also help coach our secondary. Sherman is a very smart man and I’d welcome him into our football program.
  13. Erving has definitely not been our weakness. LG and C have been worse.
  14. As long as we are able to extend Burns at some point I’m good with it
  15. Mayfield is pretty funny though. I love his commercials.
  16. Sign him with Brandon Wegher for our new 1-2 punch!
  17. He seems to be adjusting based on what’s working and what players are available. Started calling more down field throws when CMC went out to open lanes for Chuba and Royce. Called a beautiful zone read where Sam walked right into the end zone because teams kept stopping our runs up the middle. Honestly if he had a better line to work with I think we would be more impressed, but I’m sure you can say that for half the OCs in the league.
  18. Bring back He Hate Me to replace CMC.
  19. You would think they wouldn’t have had so much trouble running the ball then right? Just run to Burns side and watch Tunsil throw him around…
  20. Burns got a sack, multiple pressures, a TFL and a PD. I hope he gets “tossed like a rag doll” more often.
  21. Saquan, Kamara, and Cook all have been injured too. Definitely need to limit touches with these explosive players. Saints were smart and used multiple backs with Kamara these past few years.
