  1. You would still have to give picks with Burns. Then fans would be groaning like they are about Reddick.
  2. What good does it do to tear down the defense to build the offense? We need to put someone with him to replace Reddick.
  3. Fitterer’s longetivity with the Panthers may depend on resolving the quarterback dilemma next season.
  4. I don’t think anyone is saying Sam Darnold is the long term answer, I think 99% of us realize that. The most important thing is I think Tepper is ready to move on. However, I have heard no one, and I mean no one mention an available quarterback that is head and shoulders above Darnold as a bridge quarterback. Brissett? He has had more chances than Sam and has failed everywhere. Brissett may be who Reich wants, who knows. However, When people who may think different than you are referred to as “looney tunes” it is very telling about the person posting.
  5. That is something I am watching as well. He may be the best evaluator of Darnold’s worth we have had. If we need to move on let’s do it. However, I hate to let him walk and turn into another Geno Smith for another team.
  6. I know that when Cam was healthy in his prime the Carolina Panthers were as good as anyone in the NFL for a brief window. I remember the 2015 championship game against Arizona so well. When fans entered the stadium we were given little strips of fabric with the Panther colors and logo on them. When my wife and I found our seats there was a sophisticated Gentleman and his entourage sitting near me, they were wearing the Cardinal Red. It was obvious from their demeanor they expected to win. After the game started and the Panthers were so dominant I was so proud of the panthers. The defense dominated, Ted Ginn played the game of his life. There were so many moments in that game that had the stadium rocking. To this day that remains one of the most memorable events in my life. Those moments are what I want to remember about Cam. I am glad he is financially secure and wish him the best.
  7. He is the best and most consistent center we have had in years. The intangibles he brings such as leadership matter too.
  8. Warren Sapp has been saying the same thing. We may not know until draft night.
  9. We do need to give him a chance. You cannot go off of how he looked last year with the 4th string blocking for him during training camp. He never had a chance, it was all hype about the other quarterbacks. If we dismiss Corral without giving him a chance we are doing so at our own peril.
  10. The ACL injury is the biggest red flag for me. I would have drafted him late first or early 2nd before the injury. Now he will be a longer range product. I like the OP’s thinking, just don’t think the Panthers have time to wait. I guess we all are thinking about the next Brock Purdy.
  11. Lord, what’s he gonna do when we get a quarterback?
  12. He had his best year at an opportune time. No way he is worth 40 million, they might have to sign him for 25 or 30.
  13. Stroud and Young will be gone. Houston, Indianapolis, and Las Vegas, and maybe dark horse Atlanta will probably clean the board before we get there. Even if they don’t I can see Washington trying to trade into a spot ahead of us. Can we trade future picks to move up? Maybe, but so can others. I don’t see Baltimore letting Lamar getting away. Carr is a big expensive question mark. No way to Garrapolo, he stays injured and cost too much. Unless we have a friendly trading partner that will allow us to move up to one of the top 2 quarterbacks I would vote for drafting Richardson or Levi’s and developing them and seeing what we have in Corral. Many have written him off too soon. If we get a bonafide tight end out of this draft it will be a win. Greg Olsen would have helped Sam Darnold tremendously. We need more than a quarterback.
  14. Because we hear that every year, some of us are getting old.
  15. Some of us are getting old. We are getting tired of “next year.”
  16. Rumor coming out of Chicago is the the Bears may trade Fields. Crazy times until the draft with all the rumors and half truths.
  17. When you see actual fans filling up BOA stadium you will know the fans are beginning to see hope.
  18. I like ke the tight end for Georgia too. He’s a hoss.
  19. It is ok to respect the job Wilkes did and still hope for Reich to succeed. They are not mutually exclusive. The immaturity of some who comment are telling.
  20. I do remember reading somewhere that he impressed due to the fact he already had coaches committed to come with him. Hope that is true.
  21. So we gonna win the division next year with Reich?
  22. “You Wilkes cult members?” You painted a lot of people with a broad brush. It is ok to realize that Wilkes deserved a chance to prove that given a chance he could have a winning team in Charlotte. It is ok for us to realize that sometimes hard work is often not rewarded the way we feel it should be. Given that, most people that supported Wilkes will still support the Panthers. However, the manner it was done will result in the fan base viewing anything less than winning the division next year will be unacceptable. We shall see.
