ESPN.com's David Newton's Free Agency Party
PleaseCutStewart replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean... I'm pretty sure half of our fan base thought that minshew would lead us to the playoffs if he was our QB last year... That worked out pretty well for the raiders -

If the price is right, Dalton as back up I think is a good choice. Not only has he shown he can come in and be good enough off the bench, but if a team gets desperate we could trade them and hopefully get a 5th or so -

Lol, JJ will be long snapping for us even when he's 60 -
Cam Newton wouldn't trade MVP Award for Super Bowl Ring

He should be making digs at Mike Shula, because anyone with half a brain cell would know that Remmers isn't blocking Von Miller 1-on-1. Yet that is what we asked of him the entire game without a RB or TE to help chip... -
Daniel Jeremiah's Mock Draft 1.0

How many of those games were against pac-12/big-12 teams with no defense? Not trying to make that the rule out factor (for both you and the other guy), but I care less about what you do against ranked opponents and more against talented DBs -

I think I'm in the minority and hope I'm wrong if we take him, but I'm not big on McMillan. Very worried about his speed and whether he will be able to get open in the NFL, especially if pressed by opposing corners -
Looks like the Ravens didn't read the fine print that if they got Diontae again in the same season, they would automatically choke in the playoffs

Luvu / Chinn….. why did we let them go again?

And if we do, we don't sign 1 of the guards we did probably. Unfortunately we prioritized building the oline for Bryce -

Was sad we couldn't sign Luvu, but still don't really miss Chinn. Dude regressed each year for us after his rookie year and still hard to find a position for him because of his build and terrible coverage skills. He's done well tackling for Washington, but the dude is still ass in coverage -
I think the Ked Woodley song might be more iconic for us than the Keep Pounding manta...

Freek-a-leek would be one hell of an anthem for us

Lol, those PFF rankings for the defense are comically pathetic

That might be the worst mock for us I have seen yet. Only pick I like is Sawyer

Wouldn't surprise me if he has CTE

I honestly don't think they beat the ravens. I feel like the Ravens will just run the ball down their throat the entire game

Tampa looks like ass. At least we don't have to worry about a division foe doing anything in the playoffs

Anyone left who does not believe in Bryce ?

Don't forget about Tyler Huntley making it also -

Crazy to think that it took him being benched and humbled to turn it around. Only concern I have is if he somehow reverts back to week 1 & 2 next season. But impressed with the way he played after his benching in every game, outside of the Cowboys games where pretty much everyone on the team looked like ass. -
Panthers and Horn talks will be interesting
PleaseCutStewart replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is why I wanted us to extend him last offseason. His value was at an all-time low because of injuries, so it seemed worth the risk to offer him a 3-4 year extension when we could get it on the super cheap. -
Evero getting another shot with new players
PleaseCutStewart replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
He still graded out average on PFF, so nothing spectacular. Honestly haven't seen him play this year, but maybe he put on enough muscle with Washington to play the in the box safety/weak side lb -

Last year, our defense was on the field about 2/3 of the game because of how inept our offense was. Not to mention that opposing teams were often starting on our half of the field. I think they did pretty well overall considering the hand they were dealt. And not sure that list of players is anything great (besides DB), although they are definitely much better than the turds we got to replace them. Burns clearly quit on the team last year and was just going through the motions, Luvu was great as a pass rusher, but pretty bad as a run stopper and in coverage, and Chinn just doesn't have a spot in the NFL to be good at unless he bulks up big time (too terrible in coverage to play safety/nickel, too small to play LB). And honestly, I think our sack numbers were low last year because teams just didn't need to throw the ball because they knew we couldn't score. That's why we were ranked near the top in passing yards allowed when we weren't really good in coverage. -

Best thing that ever happened to Brady was getting far away from the Fatt Fhule circus as quick as he did -
Can't believe I am saying this, but I was impressed with Sanders Sunday. If we do keep him, we need to have him line up out wide more - he made some pretty solid catches for a RB and seemed to run good routes. Maybe even run some dual backfield plays with him and Chuba back there.
