  1. Isn't what you said contradictory? If he quit after the Ole Miss game, wouldn't he have more targets because he would just be going through the motions. Alabama also had elite talent at every position on the field on defense. South Carolina... Pretty much had 10 bums and Horn on the field. It is a lot easier to put up elite numbers and not get exposed when you have a dominant defense around you. Not saying Surtain isn't good, but Horn definitely has the highest potential to be a shutdown corner
  2. Wonder if this guy was drafted for kick/punt coverage
  3. If there was a year to trade down a lot, it was this year with how many people opted out because of covid. I think there are a lot of unknowns and its better to have more picks to see if you can find a diamond in the rough
  4. Hopefully we can get Tre Smith with our next pick
  5. Wonder if we will pick Jamie Newman so we can finally cut Will Grier
  6. What's the record for the most times a team has traded down in the draft? We might break it
  7. Sorry, I know everyone was waiting for me to get this party started
  8. Just got home. Anybody know what the hell we are doing trading down over and over again?
  9. That was surprising a lot better than I thought the past 8 years - the only complete bust in that span is Greg Little
  10. I heard Okung is also willing to accept Dogecoin as payment
  11. Agreed. I think you can throw Elijah Moore (would be a great Curtis replacement) and Terrance Marshall up there also. Teven Jenkins is the only lineman I would consider at 39. I don't think any other lineman is worth taking in the top 50. I would love it if the ND linebacker fell to us! That would give us 2 hybrid players on defense and would allow us to get super creative and deceptive with schemes on defense.
  12. The only likely all-pro LT in this draft was Sewell
  13. I'm good with the Horn pick and think his press and man coverage skills are better than every other corner in the draft. That being said, I am worried about our defensive scheme. We don't play press coverage and typically have our corners 10 yards off the ball. If we do this, then we are going to waste Horn's talent. Our coaching staff needs to adjust and play our corners closer to the LOS (or Horn at least)
  14. I think Detroit would have taken Waddle at 7 if they did that
  15. Because if our front office was big on Horn, there was no way he was making it past 12 (and a good chance not past 10 with Dallas). There honestly isn't another corner in the draft with comparable press coverage and man-to-man skills as Horn.
  16. I think they have already claimed him a bust before playing 1 down
  17. Owusu-Koramoah Teven Jenkins Elijah Moore Terrance Marshall Jr. Liam Eichenberg (will probably have to move to guard)
  18. The talent difference between Horn and Farley is pretty significant. We don't need more dime cornerbacks on our team that become #1 corners for us because we have nothing but bums at corner...
  19. Lol, this guy didn't have a single sack last year?
  20. There is going to be a lot of good players available for our 2nd round pick. Should get a day 1 starter there also.
  21. I hope the Notre Dame linebacker makes it to 39. Would be a great do-it-all linebacker that we need since we have nothing but bums at the position. We could get super creative on defensive schemes with Chinn and Owusu-Koramoah being such hybrid players
  22. Um... Josh Norman was a lockdown corner that year and thrived in our zone D scheme. Agree Finnegan and McClain were bums and led to Sanders abusing them pretty badly in the Superbowl. And we had Ricky Manning and Mike Minter in the secondary for the 2004 Superbowl that both made big plays in the playoffs (Manning was the only reason we won that 2OT game against the Rams)
