Isaiah Wilson cut after one week on Fins...
Carolina Cajun replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
Pretty sure that title went to Demetrius underwood for the vikings a while back who never played a down for them because he legit went crazy and tried running into oncoming traffic. Honestly hope that dude got some help but man what a speed run. -
Good for him to get paid, that said, I think this will hurt his career if anything in ron riveras system.

Tin foil hat time, we use day 1 of FA to beef O-line, while cutting good D-line piece...Maybe to help make us more preferable to Watson? Lord knows he doesnt wanna go somewhere and get killed like he has every season in Houston. Just a thought because cutting Kerr makes no sense at all. On the positive side for him, he'll prlly make a few more bucks than what he had on our contract

Players to watch that could bring something to the game IMO
Carolina Cajun replied to razorwolf's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's still here but I'd try to get Jermaine Carter on a simple 1 or 2 year extension. He wasn't amazing, but he's good depth that I'd like to keep here for a few more years to see if he really develop into a starter. -
Tre Boston’s reasoning for being cut
Carolina Cajun replied to Reebis21's topic in Carolina Panthers
he's right about the cap situation hurting him but Its not as much about a rebuild as he thinks. Regardless, he was a good team mate and great in the community, wish him the best, hes also well spoken so I wouldn't mind seeing him doing something in the booth with the cajuns soon. -
in 2019, there were a few games he showed some flashes when he was healthy, it was just last year, sheeesh. He has a ton to prove, but might as well bring him back and see if he flashes any potential.

report: panthers called about darnold

further proving we will take a bag of cheetos and a mountain dew over Teddy. Its literally more likely that PJ walker is our starter next season than Teddy -
mahomes gonna die because of Remmers, sheesh.

FWIW, I wouldn't hate kicking the tires on Trubisky, Chicago is a place of sorrow and despair for QB's and he came into the NFL with John Fox and now has Matt Nagy, both of which certifiably suck. Trubisky was always a project that needed extra coaching at the next level, and I dont think he ever got that coaching in the NFL, could be good with Rhule and co.

FFS, lets just be honest, we're now in a place where we're literally trying to bribe teams to take Teddy...what a fantastic contract...

I meant more historically. They lucked into Warner and the greatest show on turf, then back to the irrelevance for years until they lucked into the combo with mcvay and that defense. My main thing is organizationally, they're closer to the buccaneers which despite their success this year isnt exactly a place you want to be compared to.

I wanted stafford, but I will say, We're gonna find out REAL quick if McVay is the genius everyone made him out to be. Jared goff for his faults has been between 4000 and 4500 yards per season the last 4 years and has a 2:1 TD/INT ratio. he clearly was on pace to be a franchise QB and the rams have been kind of a dumpster fire, so I absolutely could see them having fuged this up too.

Todd McShay is CONVINCED we will move on from Teddy
Carolina Cajun replied to JABANOG's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not saying Brady wasn't at fault and I don't think that he's some sort of messiah, he screwed up a ton this year, but the players and coaches giving interviews use "coachspeak" for a reason. Easy answer was "there were some issues towards the end of the game, but we all gotta be better in those situations so in the future we walk away with a win". Simple, that's the coach speak answer, saying your coach wasn't getting the calls in on time is going out of your way to make that publicly known where as usually that is an internal matter. just to reiterate, Its not that he's not right, he most likely is, but answers like that rub coaches the wrong way. -
Todd McShay is CONVINCED we will move on from Teddy
Carolina Cajun replied to JABANOG's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was on the teddy bandwagon early, but the day he threw joe brady under the bus, I knew he was done here. As an average qb, you cant do that and think you'll be fine even if you are right. -
Gil Brandt weighs in on Carolina QB options
Carolina Cajun replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I also wouldn't want to trade 8 for Stafford straight up, BUT, If we gave them 8 and we got their 2nd and Stafford, I think I'd prlly do it. I do think Stafford has some good years left, and I don't care how many picks Detroit has, they are one of the worst run teams in the NFL and only rivaled by some of the most dysfunctional organizations in recent history, and as bad as the panthers have been, we're in NO WAY nearly as screwed up as they are. -
Mike Remmers will start at left tackle in the Superbowl.
Carolina Cajun replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I made a post about that yesterday during the game, and as well as Remmers, Daryl williams was starting for the Bills and did very well this year, and both QB's not only did well, but exceeded in their respective situations meaning that a huge portion of the problem was maybe we were asking too much of the Line for the archaic system we ran and yes Cam Newton also held onto the ball too long. -
Aaron Rodgers' presser: moving on?
Carolina Cajun replied to CarolinaSunday's topic in Carolina Panthers
While its sore, there's zero chance, ZERO that rodgers is playing for anyone besides the packers next years. Even if Rodgers refuses to play, the team would be CRAZY to let him off the hook and look like the bad guy, its more likely they would hold onto him and let love start while Rodgers holds out, and even that is VERY unlikely. Watson is an unfixable situation where the organization is desperate to gain draft capital in order to become relevant the packers are NOT that.
