  1. Helluva defensive performance for most of the game but I still believe we need new blood and a new direction. Offensive play calling is ultra conservative and scares no one. I’d be fine retaining Wilks (DC maybe or DB coach) along with Campen and Tabor but we’re only going so far with him at the helm.
  2. We became way too dependent on CMC as the focal point of our offense. Same thing we did with Cam. As much as I hated to lose him, I’m happy he was traded before we ruined him permanently as we did Cam. It was a win-win for both sides.
  3. The Panthers are at their best with a dominant running game. If we could couple that with a better passing game, we’d be dangerous. That’s what I’m hoping we can become especially under a new regime.
  4. I agree with you. The stadium is in a great location as is. Building team HQ and practice facilities there after the failed Rock Hill project makes sense. But billionaires gonna billionaire.
  5. This is one of the coolest “Mic’d Up” videos. From Jaycee chatting it up with Falcons owner Arthur Blank to good natured trash talk with Drake London to keep guys fired up on the sidelines. Nice job!
  6. Though unlikely, it wouldn’t surprise me if Baker came back on a “prove it “ one-year deal next year, especially if we play ourselves out of the top 5 in the upcoming draft. Don’t get me wrong - he’s played awfully but how much of that was the clusterfug that was Matt Rhule and late signing on a new team? I don’t think there’s any chance that Darnold is here next year.
  7. Can’t watch the game but let me guess…good ‘ol prevent defense, right?
  8. Hornets are in free fall. Retread coaches and past prime players on bad contracts are handicapping this team.
  9. I agree. I’d be real interested to see who he would bring in to run the defense. I really hope we’ll get someone to help our young studs reach their potential and return to playing at a high level.
  10. That would definitely be the Panthers’ way.
  11. It is what it is. We’re a dumpster fire right now.
  12. You know, Wilks is a good man but the defense lately has left a lot to be desired. I’m not sure we couldn’t benefit from a fresh perspective and new blood on that side of the ball. The D seems to be getting stale IMO.
  13. Me neither. Even more astounding they’re turning the reins over to an inexperienced Jeff Saturday. A real head scratcher.
  14. Have to believe Reich will be among the list of candidates for the job. With his ties to the organization, the area and being the veteran and offensive minded coach Tepper may prefer, it makes too much sense not too.
  15. With the way the Packers’ season is going, that 2nd rounder may turn out to be quite valuable. I would’ve definitely taken that for DJ.
  16. Yup and we would’ve been better served to replace him with Holcomb and let Wilks or someone more qualified call the defense. Under these circumstances, I guess it’s the best we can do.
  17. Rams offered two 1st in ‘24 & ‘25 and a 2nd next year for Burns and the Packers offered us a 1st next year for Moore according to sources. If this were true, we should have taken those deals poste-haste and kept it moving. This team just will not allow itself to embrace a full rebuild.
  18. They’re both a little long in the tooth that’s for sure! Our DJ is a veteran DL coach with connections to Wilks and Rivera going back to the Chargers.
  19. I agree on Wilks but unless no one else takes the job, I’m all for bringing in new blood from the top down with the exception of a few staffers namely Campen and Tabor. I think it would benefit us to purge any connections to Rivera or Rhule.
  20. Holcomb should’ve gone with them. He’s a good position coach (LB) but the past few weeks has shown he’s in over his head as a DC. But as someone posted earlier, this will all be a moot point at season’s end.
  21. This especially re the LB corp. The hot start for Luvu is looking like mirage and I think he returns to being a backup and key ST player next season. Brandon Smith is young and athletic but not sure if he’s a future starter (got to work on his tackling), Shaq is probably playing elsewhere next season and the rest are either one-year rentals or JAGS. The unit could really use an infusion of talent.
  22. And Joe Mixon with his 5th TD!!! It’s a wrap!
  23. That’s because it’s non-existent. It’s been pitch-and/catch for Burrow all day!
