Back was open on the right-hand side with only one man to beat and Bryce takes the sack. Typical.
-
Eh, bust is a bit much. He was not performing like a top 10 pick until this year and I would agree with that. He turned it on late last season and has only gotten better.
-
I remember people not wanting to draft Brown because he had a slow shuttle time at the combine, lol! I was not one of them.
-
Did that pass seem to hang in the air forever or was it just me? It seemed like the defense closed on the screen pass before the ball even got there.
-
Who thought Levis would fall out of the first round this past draft? One would have figured with such a small class of top prospects and the annual umpteen QB needy teams, that certainly all four top guys would go before round two.

I was at this game and it was a BLAST!!! Granted it didn't rain the entire game, but when the rain started falling, it came down in buckets!

Roll call… who’s going? PIE to those who are attending

I had more hope for that '01 team than I do this version of the Panthers. Yes, I was at that NE game as well. As the Pats started to pile on the points in the second half amounting to a route, what little remaining folks in the rainy attendance fled to drier and warmer surroundings. My biddies an I stayed until the game clock was 00:00 at which point I estimate less than 5% of the stadium still had people in it. -
Do they still count PSL holders as tickets sold regardless if they show or not? I agree that the official attendance will be higher than actual butts in seats.

One big difference being Ridder was pick #74 in the 3rd round and the other was the #1 overall pick. Their stats should not even be close.
-
Yup, they are going to stack the box to stop our run game and DARE Bryce to beat them.
-
Yep, and why our pretty solid OL from last season has looked like trash this season. Granted our guard play has been poor, but Bozeman, Ickey and Moton haven't all forgotten how to play their positions.
-
In order for us to win, every unit needs to bring their 'A' game, but Bryce has to bring his 'A+' game. As someone mentioned before, great QBs lift up their team when they are struggling, but an albatross QB brings down their team even when playing well enough for a win. Our defense and STs have played well enough for us to have several more wins, but can't overcome horrible QB play.

I helps to have a QB that, while not overly impressive, has had staying power in the League and is a borderline starter/backup type. I vividly remember myself and couple other Huddlers wanting to go after Mishew for this year as the dreaded "bridge QB" and then dive into the 2024 draft. Again, I wanted no part of this past QB draft. While Stroud is looking strong and Levis competent, I still stand by wanting to delve into this 2024 QB class.

Have fun! I like Charleston, but personally enjoy Savannah more. -
I'm hoping one of the QB needy teams gets lusty after McCarthy. I think he's going to good, but not great, at the next level. That will push one of the other QBs further down.
-
Actually, he had a winning record until Irsay stepped in and told him which QB to start from week to week. Frank should have known better to take a job with another meddling owner.
-
Lol, I was saying this when the firing happened!!! Noooooooo, everything was Frank's fault. Bryce sucking...Frank's fault, 10+ guys on IR--mostly defense...Frank's fault, No TEs...Frank's fault, WR besides a simi-washed Thielen sucking...Frank's fault, Sander's being a con-artist...Frank's fault, Tepper micro-managing; attempting to do his best Jim Irsay Impression...Frank's fault, Fitterer undermining Frank in order to save his own job...Frank's fault. Frank may not have been a great coach, but was doomed from the rip. That's the reason when Tepper gave him an out, Frank took him up on it.

Tepper got robbed $37 million by Bryce’s parents
45catfan replied to Selltheteamtepper's topic in Carolina Panthers
It wasn't bad coaching, it was Tepper. Remember, Dalton was QB1 at the start of camp. After a while, Bryce started taken some first string snaps and miraculously unseated Dalton in short order. Do you honestly think Dalton lost out to Bryce that quickly? No, Tepper said Bryce was starting the season, so the staff had to get him as ready as they possibly could which meant feeding him as many first team reps as he could handle. -
Bingo. Expecting the #1 overall player to execute in the NFL was a foolish expectation for them.
-
True, but then everyone thinks TEs should but up Kittle and Kelcy numbers. In reality, a handful of TDs over 500 yards and 50+ catches is a solid TE1. We got spoiled with Greg; 1000 yard TEs are rare, so a TE even pushing towards that number is really good.
-
Uh, Reich tried, remember? Everyone was b*tching about not pushing the ball downfield. 80%-90% of Bryce's passes were under 10 yards, heck a large portion were even behind the LOS.
-
Bingo! I was wanting to draft Olsen's replacement the season after he broke his foot and bring the rookie along slowly under Greg's mentorship. I was wanting Dallas Goedert in the 2nd round, here's how he panned out: Now, while not Greg Olsen-like numbers, still pretty dang solid.
-
Eh, actually it's the sidelines where he struggles; it take more arm strength to hit those passes. That's the reason Bryce likes in-breaking routes and also the reason DBs jump his throws...because everyone knows this.
