Is Rhule the worst coach in the NFL right now
45catfan replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Murray was out that game, IIRC. We won against a backup QB. -

What do you think Payton was before he was a HC? Payton called the plays for NO as well. -
Only problem being Tepper--"brass balls Tepper"-- is a little attached to his boy Rhule. You would think a hedge fund guy would be somewhat ruthless, personal feelings aside. After all, business is business.

Whomever does it first is at the head of the line for Sean Payton. -
Yep, because playing like dog poo for 3 straight quarters is the ref's fault. Had we handled our business, that last drive for Cleveland wouldn't have mattered. It only mattered because when the game was nearly out of hand, we finally figured out how to play football and made the game close.

We have the Giants on the road and then Saints at home next two up. If we are 0-3 at that point with the schedule only getting harder, Tepper should pull the trigger. Will he? Probably not. Tepper will run this organization further into the ground trying to prove that Rhule was not a bad hire.

Think Snow will defend his run D after today?
45catfan replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Remember, even Saban sucked as a NFL hed coach, but Rhule was supposed to break the mold? Jimmy Johnson was the last college HC (without any prior NFL coaching gigs) to be successful. -

Rhule would throw one of his own family members under the bus to save his own neck. Snow is no exception. -
Our sloppy play and even worse coaching robbed us. If this team had out-played the Browns all game and it came down to the fake spike, then yeah, I'd be pissed. We got our arses handed to us all game. It's hard to believe that the score was even this close if you were just to look at the stat sheet.

Will Tepper pull the cord on this fraud mid season?
45catfan replied to Randolph Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Mid season? One or two more losses in as many games should qualify. -
It has to be done if we lose to the Giants next week. Probably the two more winnable games of the year and go 0-2.

I expected it. I started to get amped up too, then told myself a let down still is likely around the corner. Yup.
-
Typical Rhule coached team, they show up in the 4th quarter to make it interesting. Good teams play entire games, we play a good quarter just to keep the score respectable.

Back in the good old days, I'd be pissed after a loss. Now it's not wasting the energy on. My wife asked me if the Panthers won, I said "no" and went on drinking my beer and surfing the web.

And still couldn't stop Big Play Brisset on critical 3rd down passes.

Heartbreaking, but predictable.

Again, we got close enough for Rhule to make a case for him sticking around. A loss is a loss, I'd rather had the blowout and Rhule being firmly on the hot seat. -

Are we really going to be the Browns first road opening game win since 1994? -

Yeah, I've said LBs are an area of concern. Nobody else really seemed concerned. EVERYONE PLAYS NICKLE, they said. When you can't stop the run, having a healthy stable of DBs and slim pickings at LB actually matters. -

Again, why did re-sigh Haynes? A 235 pound DE makes zero sense. -

We will get close on the scoreboard even though this game should have been a blowout where Rhule can about bloviate about moral victories.
