I’d prefer not to trade with the Steelers even for next year 1st. They are a perennial playoff team no matter what so you’re looking at a lower pick. Indy or Dallas is my dream even if you only get an extra 2nd back.
-
Yeah I mean that as a good thing, as in if we drafted him at 8 and he was as advertised in the run + got 7-10 sacks we stole him there.
-
7-10 sacks from him would be insane. That’s nick bosa/will Anderson. If we drafted him I’d be pleasantly surprised with 4-5 and locking up the run.
-
I’m not sold on Mykell but if he is the pick I wonder if we could get Dallas or Indy to trade up with us

Please god technical upgrades to the board and mods for the mods

I don’t know man we gave up over 5 yards per carry last season. There is 100% a spot for him here. That doesn’t mean we still don’t have a need at FS too
-
yeah maybe that wrist injury he had was the problem (side note: did he ever get the surgery?).

heard this so many times. only time ive actually seen it is curtis samuel

$anders Drama just got More Interesting for Panthers

I wouldn’t do it for fair value. Goes out the window when talking about your QB. I would need their 3rd this year and first next. Happy to stay at 8 if they don’t want to -

The problem with waiting, is as of now there really isn't a QB that's worth a first next year besides Arch. And he hasn't even started a season, who knows what happens. If the #1 next year is a QB needy team, they're taking Arch and you don't have an option to trade up. Obviously someone will show up and shoot up boards and maybe you do get 3 1st round grade guys, but as of now 2026 prospects have guys like Nico, Allar, Sellers, or Nussmeier as the 2nd behind Arch. Yuck -

If we trade down to 21, get another first next year + a 2nd or 3rd this year, and still get Walker then Dan is getting a statue. I really like Egbuka too, think he can be a steal in the bottom of the first. -

To be fair to OP the thread is fine. A few guys came in and started pooing on it, then for some reason you decided to pile on -

I don’t think Sanders is good enough where teams are going to be willing to give up when it takes to get our spot but the Carr news only helps us. Best case scenario I think is the Saints swap with us because they think someone else is getting 8 and we get an extra 3 and take the same player we would have at 8. I’d love to pick up future 1sts but the Steelers and Rams are perennial playoff teams so most likely will be mid 20s next year. -

Imo pick needs to be TMac or defense. But I wouldn’t be mad if they went with Warren -

Yeah that’s very true. I just don’t think he comes in here and replaces a #1 WR in Canales scheme. Warren would be a great add. We’d still need another WR imo -

How? If you had a crystal ball and knew you would get Bowers production his rookie year he would have gone after Nabers -

I really like Warren but saying he’s a WR is quite a stretch. He’s a really good blocking TE and is willing to do literally everything on the field. Finds soft spots in the zone very well but isn’t the receiving threat Bowers or Pitts was coming out. I’d be happy with him at 8 but don’t think we should be under any impression he solves our lack of talent at the WR position. -

You’d obviously go offense here. Be dumb not to. Warren or TMac don’t overthink it. -
Needs context. If I can trade back with the cowboys and pick up an extra second this year and third next year I’m doing it. If I need to trade to late 20s for only next years first for a team that will be picking low again next year prob not
-
Wow, this is the dream scenario.
-
I don’t want our FO to have any reason to even consider trading up. Since there’s no chance he gets to 8, hopefully the Giants grab him #3 quickly and we stay put
-
As of today, who would you draft at number 8?
jb2288 replied to PleaseCutStewart's topic in Carolina Panthers
T Mac. Think this is classic “overthinking”. Dude has been the best WR in college for the past 2 years with glue hands. Huge need on our team. Don’t overthink it. -

I’d be beyond pissed if we took this guy anywhere in the first.
