I respectfully disagree. I think he's making them bc he relies too heavily on his defense, and as such, he leans more conservative on his philosophy... and today, it is overly so.
-
I'll be disappointed for you. Interior OL has to be among the leagues worst, but he has had opportunities and has not looked good at all today. Both picks were horrible throws and decisions.
-
Today, absolutely. And if we look at the trends of the 3rd qtr all season, he has been absolutely horrible. If we played every quarter like the 3rd quarter every week, we would be 0-4 right now.

Despite all the praise I've given Rhule and this staff for their ability to develop talent and show tremendous awareness in strategic moments last season, he is really shittng the bed this year, especially today. Electing to punt multiple times around midfield with a horrible punter, then allowing his ST coordinator to punt it with our kicker instead of just kicking it or going for it. We are playing some truly limpdick football on offense today.
-
Welp, defense can't keep us in the game forever. I am beyond disappointed in Matt Rhule, Joe Brady, and Sam Darnold today. Calling the game like a pussy is getting ready to bite us in the ass.
-
Dont like that call at all.
-
Keep let them hanging around and we're getting ready to blow this.
-
Tends to feel that way when watching your offense is like watching paint dry.
-
Bouye almost picked that smoke screen off.
-
We are really, really fuging this up. It's not this hard guys, really.
-
I've got to think that was bc of Moton not being used to being on the left side.
-
Paradis was holding on for dear life that last play lol
-
Reddick is a fuging beast.

Apparently this game will be played between the 20s. Old fashioned tig of war with horrible QBing.
-
No excuse on that one, he had a clean pocket until he threw it. That was a ducking horrible decision and throw by Sam. Horrible. He's got to stop locking onto DJ.
-
Also, to be fair, the run blocking has been excellent today. The interior just sucks in pass pro.
-
Was CJ Henderson active today? I didn't look at the inactives list and I haven't seen him today.
-
Looks like teams have definitely figured out how to slow it down. I wouldn't read too much into it today or last week though, bc by design, we have to keep some contain on Prescott and Hurts.
-
I cannot fuging understand why the fug Rhule keeps putting Miller out there. Get him TF off the field. I dont care if Brown was a late round pick... Miller is far enough in his career that he is what he is. Brown or Jordan have a chance to become more. Please just get him tf off the field.
-
Charlton has to fuging go. Or we can just go for it on 4th every time.
-
Yeah, I know he was under extreme pressure on that throw. My issue is more of it consistently happening every week on plays that could really put over the top. But, I agree, the degree of difficulty on the deep one to Robby today was extreme.
-
Yup, and it sucks that it's what we're stuck with bc as Fitt said, OL quality and depth is a league-wide problem. And although I want to continue to start BC regardless of his immediate performance in hopes that he improves as time goes on, the real issue is that interior, as you said. We need to see if Brown can give us anything, for the same reason - with the hope that he can improve... because as-is, we will make a quick exit out of the playoffs this they don't get something from the guards. I am really surprised Daley has struggled as much as he has because he looked very promising early.
-
I have been encouraged by Darnold's early performances, and yes, our OL is atrocious, but some stuff he still has to be better at and it's hindered us so far. Those missed throws to both Robby and TMJ could have been gamebreakers today, and coincidentally, it seems he's missed on the same throws to those same two guys every week. It looks like he is really only comfortable throwing to DJ consistently.
-
FWIW, it seems mostly to be the guards that are the biggest problem today. On the last sack, BC was trying to block his guy and Miller's.
-
But at least we tried.
