Damn straight. What a fuging trainwreck we are. I gave serious thought to changing the avatar at different points, but as you said, I ultimately settled on keeping it because it is now humorous and ironic in hindsight. He definitely had laser eyes, though.

Again, fug Goodell and the league as a whole. I will never forgive them for using us as a fuging pawn to give Peyton his storybook ending in that rigged ass superbowl. And then turned around, and I believe, leaked a story forcing the sale of the team to a predetermined owner who had already put in his time with the good ol boys club. Should've been Navarro if the sale had to be done... and it didn't. Because all the racist and foul poo guys like Ross and Jerry Jones have done, their ass should've been forced to sell long ago. And Snyder should've been ousted before anyone. And despite all the poo JR was alleged to have done in those reports, he still has a legit, authentic, no bullshit guy like Smitty who always vouched for him. I never saw guys vouch for those other owners, they just watch out for their preferred power brokers most. We have always been the NFL's whipping boy of a franchise.

As I mentioned in another thread, my personal life is in shambles, thus I was at my new job yesterday. The old me kept wanting to bubble up with thoughts of "I should've called out/I should've asked off/I am at the point in life I shouldn't be working on a Sunday- so I can watch my Panthers." On my first break, it hit right at 1 pm... I pulled the game up on my favorite streaming site. Saw Jaycee get torched for the first TD of the likes that is rarely seen week to week in NFL games (although I suspect the safety blew his assignment on the play). Then, two plays later, first throw of the season, Bryce throws to absolutely no one in particular aside from a guy wearing the other team's jersey. I, without hesitation or regret, immediately turned my phone off and went back to work. Lol, my how times have changed. Our team was what my entire Sundays revolved around for years... I walked back in the break room later and a couple guys were watching the 4pm games and I walked in and was like, "ahhh, yes... I remember when I would dedicate my whole Sunday to watch the Panthers. Don't know if you guys saw, but... I'm glad I don't do that poo anymore." And we all laughed.

Just perusing social media to discover what a fuging laughingstock we are and came across these. I didn't search for them, these loaded onto my feed as-is, from Panther and Non-Panther fans alike.

Bryce could be a future cautionary tale...
Proudiddy replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
AR was the guy I wanted after the pre-draft process... but I loved Stroud too and stated I would've been ecstatic with either... if AR can consistently put it together and stays healthy, he is better than Stroud, and that's why I wanted him above all the other candidates. But the point being, as you said, who tf looked at AR and Stroud and said give me the guy built like my 13 year old daughter's middle school crush? -

Mostly the Teppers though. -
Derrick Brown potential season ending knee injury
Proudiddy replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
Me either, although I do think he has 8 sack potential, because last season, seemingly, he was "there" more, but often pushed the QB to someone else. I think my underlying sentiment was more so that we can't have nice things. -
Tbh, we all knew they should've played the bulk of the first halves, AT MINIMUM, for every preseason game. But I don't think this approach was made because Dave was so confident in what they were doing/showing in practice - I think they knew exactly how shitty it would look and felt the preseason wasn't gonna make a difference because Bryce is that bad and they're prepared to tank.

Anyone found a video or gif of Moton sacking Bryce?
Proudiddy replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Preciate it, brother. Definitely did not post it for attention or anything, just more matter of fact that despite all of that, I'm thankful I'm not making myself more miserable by dedicating entire days to this poo that Tepper has run into the ground. But again, I greatly appreciate the sentiment. Tbh, despite all of this, I'm thankful because it opened my eyes to a lot that I otherwise would've ignored. Everything happens for a reason, and I believe the series of events that happened led me exactly to where I was supposed to be and I'll be better for it. Much love, bro! -

It just keeps getting better! And in a hurry! Remember Evero's "could be a 8 or 9 sack year" statement? Welp. Go Panthers! -

I'm so glad I'm going through a bitter divorce, my credit has tanked, I'm thousands in debt, will likely have to battle out custody in court, because it allowed me to pick up this job where I worked yesterday instead of sitting at home to watch this poo. In all the years of our sucktitude, never once have I seen this happen. We are at rock bottom, ladies and gentlemen. -
I still think PJ is a good player... snd like you said, at worst, he is athletic and can fuging sling it. I've been thinking a lot about past "great" college QBs who failed to translate to the NFL. Two that really standout are Pat White and idk why I keep thinking Danny Weurfell (sp?). I think because Weurfell had very few good physical traits, but he carved out an admirable career in the NFL and even had some moments of success... but that was also possible because there were very low expectations because of where he was drafted and the league knew he wasn't physically gifted, but he had enough physically to have moments. Pat was incredibly athletic, but also apparently had a noodle for an arm so that didn't last long at all. Bryce is smaller than both and has no physical ability that sets him apart from either, or anyone else on an NFL field, for that matter. I think the biggest thing physically to be able to even carve out some semblance of an NFL career as a QB, is you have to have a capable arm, first and foremost. You could suck at everything else, but if you can see your targets and complete even basic level NFL passes, you can make it. Bryce doesn't and can't. The end.

Bryce could be a future cautionary tale...
Proudiddy replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
A lot of yall can keep on with the "I'm giving him this season" but the results are already there. What you're seeing is the final product. The final form. And no "future" cautionary tale... it was this way before he was even taken and the reason a lot of us didn't want to draft him in the first place. As I've stated ad nauseum... a franchise QB is a guy who has elite physical traits that elevates the play of those around him and he can make and create plays that aren't even there initially bc of his ability (plus ability to process). Game managers, at best, are the inverse, need the play of their supporting cast to elevate them... the game managers that can be outliers are guys who aren't elite, but have enough of those traits and abilities to start for one to several years - think Andy Dalton, Case Keenum, Ryan Fitzpatrick, etc. Then there are guys who have really good overall physical traits and also elite processing - think Brady and Brees. Then there are guys that have poo physical traits, are built like a middle schooler, have a noodle for an arm, and are not very athletic, and are too short to maneuver around or see over their line to throw it any distance of consequence downfield - that's Bryce. He's not making anyone around him better, nor is he capable of doing so. And on the flipside, he could have fuging Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, TO, Smitty, and Chase and Jefferson coming off the bench and he still would put up numbers like yesterday because he fuging sucks ass. Foe that processing to matter, you have to be able to physically use it. And when he was at Alabama, the perspective was easily skewed because he had such elite talent around him compared to most of the opponents he was playing, so his weaknesses weren't evident because there was all of the fuging beer and circus flying all directions around him. But, now, he doesn't have that and it shows. And Mark my words, it isn't because we don't have talent at the playmaking positions. We absolutely do. If Dalton starts, we make a run at the playoffs and Diontae is making a run at being one of the top receivers statistically in the league, Mingo looks worlds better, etc. This is simply because the talent level at Alabama dwarfed 99% of their opponents. In the NFL, everyone has Alabama talent, so that gap is bridged and what makes the difference is scheme and who is pulling the trigger. And again, we gave up DJ and what became Caleb Williams for this piece of poo. -
Tbh, DJ looked really solid in preseason. And I've always loved me some Barno, I think he has double-digit-sacks-a-year potential, he just needed time to develop into it. But he doesn't come back til week 4 at the earliest right?
-
Shows you how fuging ass CJ Henderson was, if you didn't know already... we traded a fuging second rounder for him, started him for 2 years, finally let him go elsewhere and he gets cut before the regular season. This front office really poo the bed, and for a long, long time. When fuging fans can see the poo from a mile away and the fuging experts still trot that poo out there FOR YEARS??? Wtf is really going on???
-
As I have said with numerous players in the past, I will happily eat crow. Even seconds.
-
Wtf is happening. Jackson has looked like the best corner on the roster so far in preseason. Johnson looked light-years better than the guy they've had taking the first half snaps at RB... Johnson scores a TD even, and then they cut him. This is just a like a steaming hot poo sandwich to start the week off.

Panthers release a kicker, shore up offensive line
Proudiddy replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
I just don't think Pinero ever would. He's super accurate with us, but that's because most of his kicks have been inconsequential. Our team has sucked, especially offense while he's been here, and most of his kicks have very little effect on the games. When they have mattered its hard to tell what ye would be. I remember off the top of my head that he won a game last year, mightve done it twice, but he also lost one against ATL with a huge miss (might've been the DJ Moore helmet game?). So results are a mixed bag. What makes kickers elite, imo, is ability to kick from distance, consistency/accuracy, and clutch factor. Piniero has demonstrated only consistency/accuracy in meaningless games. I honestly think if he went somewhere else where the kicks matter, he would be exposed. I wanted Mevis. And for the record, I said to keep Butker over Gano when they were both here. -
I loved Dan as a player since college snd have been pulling for him ever since. I'm still holding out hope he can turn things around here, but man... some stuff is just hard to stomach. Getting Diontae was an absolute steal. But seeing how hard the Giants keyed in on Burns so early, knowing Dan already had a relationship with Schoen, seeing their conversation started with Dan asking for two ones, then seeing the negotiations distill down to us getting haggled out of asking for an additional 7th to go with the 2nd we already settled for... if that's how your friends do you, then I'm kind of worried what negotiations with someone else would look like. I haven't been frequenting the boards as much, as I'm going through massive change in my life, and considering our whole organization has continuously and progressively deteriorated under Tepper since he's been here, I haven't been as nearly locked in as a fan as I used to be... so maybe I missed the reaction to this already, but man, what a huge punch to the gut. I didn't rag on passing up on the Rams two 1sts offer when many did last year because I figured we were keeping Burns, so it made sense from that perspective... but the fact that was offered, we passed on it, and then even with considering Fitt was fired and Morgan took over, we end up still asking for two 1sts as the starting point and end up with a 2nd and a 5th while also giving up a pick of our own for the best pass rusher from his class... yikes. I would rather have just kept him. And in addition to that, early reviews on this draft class so far isn't great from what I've read. I've said it elsewhere, but man, I really feel like the only way we turn things around under Tepper is to back into success by accident.
-
I really don't understand Gilly still being out there and why we haven't brought him yet either. I always felt either he could continue playing at a high-level as a corner into his late 30s or make the transition to safety like other highly-skilled corners did later in their career.

Everybody hates Bryce - TC August 11th
Proudiddy replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
If it makes me a hater, so be it... but, I pretty much was out on Bryce halfway through last season... I was out on him prior to the draft, then had to give him a chance because our dumbass FO drafted him, buy then seeing him - he will be lucky to stick as a backup NFL QB after his rookie contract. You cannot just have a QB who dinks and dunks and succeed with no threat of an accurate deep ball in today's NFL. Look at the QBs Canales has worked and excelled with. The biggest difference between them and Bryce is that they were renowned for their arm strength. Canales is really trying to put lipstick on a pig this season... it's damn near inevitable we will be drafting a QB in 2025. And funny enough, because we just played them, I actually wanted us to draft Milton late just to have a possible option already waiting in the wings... ngl, I would really like to see what the cost would be to get Hendon Hooker from Detroit as well... just to have a young option to pair with who we draft in 2025. -
Panthers release a kicker, shore up offensive line
Proudiddy replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Expect this to play out similarly, except in that scenario, Gano eventually bounced back to clutch/consistent and a top kicker in the league after we let him go too. In this scenario, Mevis will go onto be a solid kicker in the league, while Eddy will choke himself out of a job - all while being unable to kick anything beyond 55 yards max. Good to see us settle again. In true Panthers fashion. -
We suck. Tune in tomorrow for more meaningless fluff while we still suck. Good times.
