Next round of contract extensions are no joke
onmyown replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
yea I don’t think we have a choice. But Burns needs help, he isn’t elite take over one man army kind of player. And we have no one. i reallly really don’t like the look of the dline this year, at all. have a feeling it’s going to be very bad. brown is on pace to set it back big time. -
I don’t know I mean that was a harassment charge followed by a DUI charge. I wouldn’t dismiss or minimize things because someone was drunk or a certain race and bad jokes can still be racist. We would care differently is she was assaulted or someone died from the DUI? And why does it need to get to that point? I certainly wouldn’t be laughing if someone came up behind me, put their hands around my neck and said something like that no matter what gender/sex I am. But yea for a female parking attendant just trying to do her job, probably alone, I’d imagine that’s a whole other level of terrifying. Guess my point is that is not some normal poo and people are being cancelled for the same thing. Everyone should be held accountable and some need to realize that it just may not be his race holding him back.

“The arrest report outlined the incident: Bieniemy was with five friends in a parking lot when he allegedly approached a lot attendant from behind and grabbed her by the neck. The victim told police the contact was not painful, but it startled her. She said the man also made comments while holding her. "She stated that the male who grabbed her said something about 'a bunch of black males all at once being her worst nightmare,' " according to the report.”

Yes, as I have stated over and over for those who want to act like it’s for another reason, multiple players have said this, as well as his really shitty history full of racist remarks and legal issues that a different person would be cancelled for today. Look it up. He isn’t this great person or coach. He benefits from Reid.

Robby or Robbie Anderson no show OTA’s
onmyown replied to slumdogmillionaire's topic in Carolina Panthers
it’s no biggie, we will just have to agree to disagree that receptions mean anything when discussion drops, i personally don’t understand looking at it like that - but it’s all good each their own -
Robby or Robbie Anderson no show OTA’s
onmyown replied to slumdogmillionaire's topic in Carolina Panthers
Drop percent is what I was referring to. I also assumed that’s what people refer to when they call him the drop leader. That is the only way to quantify dropped passes. But you insist a player who has 1000 receptions and 10 drops is somehow the leader over a player with 100 receptions and 7 drops. That is literally spinning things. Who in the hell just looks at just the drop number without the receptions? -
Robby or Robbie Anderson no show OTA’s
onmyown replied to slumdogmillionaire's topic in Carolina Panthers
he led the league in dropped passes per reception that’s a fact, and that is exactly what I posted, how is this making things up? you say no no no it was DJ who dropped more! but he only dropped one, single pass more with almost twice the receptions seems to me you’re the one trying to make crap up lol -
Robby or Robbie Anderson no show OTA’s
onmyown replied to slumdogmillionaire's topic in Carolina Panthers
yea and you were touting our oline as going to be one of the best we’ve ever had this time last year we get it, facts don’t affect your optimism because it’s always better to have hope but this isn’t some ailment diagnosis, it’s just sports, and we will call it for what it is a fact you’d think most people look at when doing more than just looking at a ‘drop number’ - which puts Robby as the NFL leader and it’s not even close with the receptions by the only other three above Anderson in the NFL he’d come out to about 13-14 drops, demolishing #1 which is 9 unless you of course are super optimist and say he would caught every single of those 50 more receptions, he’ll might have even scored 50 TDs in which case he’s actually underpaid and the best wr in franchise history -

onmyown replied to slumdogmillionaire's topic in Carolina Panthers
he has the Temple hall pass seriously though you’d think the NFL dropped pass leader would need as much practice as he can get i really really hope Marshall is ready to take Robby’s snaps, the bar isn’t even that high epically when it’s for 10m+ less or whatever -
Exactly. Watson (and to a smaller extent Rodgers) really set the presidence for the QB position in a lot of ways. Such has having their hand in GM decisions (though yes some GOATS already do this but I suspect non GOATS will whine for it too), and backing out of an already signed contract and refusing to play and if you’re not happy only to be rewarded by another team. I mean it’s one thing to have input on players on the team, but GMs and HCs? And that was with bad publicity and looming legal issues. Imagine without those factors. All agents for QBs are paying attention to all of this. On one hand I see their points if they’re not happy. On the other hand you’re kind of screwing teams by signing the contracts like they aren’t actually contracts in definition. Literally months before going elsewhere. It’s all about balance in the contract, such as the no trade clause. The team and the player need to be somewhat happy and reasonable. Gone are the days where the QB is just going to suck it up and play for a team they don’t want to. What does a high commodity player lose by breaking the contract? What does the team lose by releasing he player? I suspect contracts will change in some way or terms or structure in the future to address this more specifically. Especially with first contracts and mid level non GOAT players (Murray). At the same time I don’t think there is much to be done about top level guys (Rodgers) that’s just the benefit of multiple teams willing to pay and offer whatever.

no Hurney? they must not know

100% we will be worse than Cleveland. But you are right, he likely had a better option than either. Early signs of CTE.

College football might be about to get real interesting
onmyown replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
highly doubt it -
Yea it didn’t turn out well, 5-6 people. But I have a house on top of a mountain out west so we knew we would attract a specialized group. But realtors are definitely doing them out here. It’s such a hot market offers come in before but realtors have a big show so everyone just bids each other up it’s insane. That said an investor who privately saw it the night before just slapped down full cash. Wanted us out in a week. Seems to be true investors are just buying stuff up. I always thought people were exaggerating and low and behold it happened to me.

yes? Like selling my house and had to leave for about 5 hours so realtor could do his thing during an open house.

Tepper Sports to install grass field but not for Panthers
onmyown replied to GRWatcher's topic in Carolina Panthers
because it’s a sign of a cheap, clueless owner trying to save money grass looks better and is better to play on, also better for events there is literally no reason to not have it other than cost -
With quality QB play. Is this roster ready to go?
onmyown replied to iamhubby1's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ah yea the good old argument… Burrow became the 5th QB in 23 years to go to the Super Bowl with an oline ranked that bad and if only we had a qb we could have been that team lol -

Dline is an issue. Pass rushers and run stopping. On paper I don’t see it being even close to playoff caliber. Also not feeling the LBs. Personally, I don’t think Moore is a #1 and Robby sucks ass. Moore will have to stop giving up on routes and blocking and Anderson will have to catch passes, along with cmc stay healthy, if this team is going to outscore opponents with a true 1. But other than those - pretty solid all around. Biggest hinderance imo is that Dline…not liking it. -
Kurt Warner on The Herd, talking about our new QB.
onmyown replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Don’t understand the hate, why you guys care about Kurt so much? Lol …he’s not wrong. We know what Corral is and isn’t to an extent of his strengths and weaknesses. As Kurt alluded to, quick release (arguably Corrals biggest strength) is less of a factor the further he needs to throw it. That said If he can perfect his long ball, look out imo. -
Kurt Warner on The Herd, talking about our new QB.
onmyown replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Write up: Essence of the video: Corrall is excellent at short throws between the hashes, superb quick release and operating play action. Will/can excel in a specialized offense, wasn’t asked to do much more at Ole Miss. Struggles with 15-35 yard ‘mid level throws’ with accuracy and touch. (Warner) To be a difference maker, a franchise guy, those throws are what make the difference and in order to have success in the NFL a QB will have to make those throws consistently.- 73 replies
