  1. That's where Kenny Pickett comes in. Sam starts the first 8-12 games, then Kenny comes in. Maybe we'll be the 7th seed by year 4.
  2. So this job won't be any different then. He really is the best candidate.
  3. Kinda makes the whole brass balls thing look even dumber in retrospect.
  4. He's gonna look even dumber next year. Should have cut his losses when it became obvious.
  5. I'm sure its been said, but if Pep Hamilton is the "rockstar" OC... oh wee mayne
  6. Agreed. It would have to be someone with a body of work already, so this coming year can essentially be memory wiped from their next job interview. It's potentially career suicide for a young up and coming OC.
  7. Its hard to be a good radio announcer I think. You basically need the guy to paint a picture of every play with just words. Mick is honestly terrible at that. It's unbelievable that he lasted this long in the position. I'm sure he's a great guy though, and I wish him the best.
  8. I predict the Patriots beat the Packers in the Super Bowl. A 1996-97 rematch. Belichick gets a title without Brady.
  9. I'll admit that I was on the Phil Snow train way too early. He's been thoroughly outmatched since the first few games. We're built to play well against the pass, and the stats reflect that. I'm not even sure how good we are at stopping the pass, because teams really just need to run the ball to beat us. Nobody's ever in catch up mode just throwing the ball against us.
  10. Our current GM is at least partially responsible for that crap OL. I'd rather they just take Pickett, but I'm afraid they're going to trade away more draft picks to get a mediocre veteran.
  11. Ultimately they'll end up trading for someone like Jimmy G because Watson and Wilson will refuse.
  12. The only real possibility is a former HC IMO. Someone like Doug Pederson or BoB isn't gonna take much of a hit if they serve 1 year in this dumpster fire. They have enough of a history. Similar to Jason Garrett in NY. I don't think that's happening though. I think Rhule's got his staff as long as he's here for next year.
  13. On firing Rhule early: Could it really be done? I may be wrong, but I feel like 80% of the interim staff would defect, were he to be fired midseason. I mean I've never played in the NFL. I don't know if you could run a football team with 3-4 coaches, but I'm guessing it's not possible. I'm holding out hope that Rhule will be fired after the last game. To me, the Cam signing and the Brady firing were a turning point for Rhule. I have no other evidence for this, but I believe Rhule had to do something this season to save his job. Otherwise, I don't see the point of firing Brady before the end of the season. That's not enough time to implement a new offense. I also assume that Tepper does not want to be perceived as an impatient guy that will fire a good coach too soon. He's waiting until the wheels are completely off before he makes his move. That way, the entire fan base will be on his side when he does. Either that, or Tepper's a moron and we are potentially fugged for decades.
  14. And our definition of a west coast attack is checking down to the RB every play.
  15. Speaking of that. Even when Fox and Rivera were about to be fired, I don't think it nearly was this one sided. I remember some fans wanting to keep Fox and Rivera respectively, because they each had success and would be coveted by other teams as soon as we fired them. This feels completely different.
  16. Well at least if Rhule hires BoB, there a 0% chance Watson ever approves a trade here. As long as Matt Rhule is here next year, I don’t think it matters who he hires.
  17. That's historically bad former GM Matt Millen. An endorsement from him is one of the worst you could get. Maybe 2nd to getting an endorsement from Matt Rhule himself.
  18. Didn't Ryan Fitzpatrick get a perfect score on that test?
  19. I don't know why he'd want to leave Michigan, to be honest. One of the best jobs in the country, and he just got the monkey off his back this year by finally beating Ohio State. He still hasn't won a National Championship, so there's a lot left to play for. Seems like the perfect job for him.
  20. Generals isn't bad compared to a lot of the other options floated. I honestly thought the WFT name was unique and they should have kept it.
  21. It's interesting you mention Frank Reich, because the Colts are a great example of how to reclaim a QB. For us, you have Matt Rhule that traded for Sam Darnold without watching film, and puts him in an identical situation to the NYJ where he failed miserably. Frank Reich goes after Carson Wentz, who has not only played at a MVP level in the NFL, but someone Reich is familiar with on the football field and locker room. They give him one of the best offensive lines in football and a strong running game, and all of a sudden Carson Wentz is saving his career. It's basically the opposite of everything about the Darnold situation.
  22. TO was a diva WR, but AB is insane. The craziest thing TO did was cut that promo where he was doing sit ups in his driveway. Or some funny TD celebration.

  24. I think other teams just know our routes. They've even told as much, and guys have been jumping us really hard since the first 3 games. We just have an incredibly predictable offense, and teams know we want to run the short stuff. Look at how Stephon Gilmore played AB in our game against the Bucs. He gave the dude 5-10 yards because he had to respect the long ball. DJ Moore hasn't had that much space since Week 1 or whatever.
  25. So it'll end with permanent bodily damage, and we'll enjoy it? Sounds accurate.
