  1. Not all players who show flashes of talent end up being good. But all good players have flashed at some point. So that kind of illustrates the Venn diagram or whatever. Just because Milton looked impressive for a couple plays doesn’t mean he’ll be any good. It doesn’t even mean he’ll make a roster. But, a player who has never looked impressive will never be good. See TMJ and basically everyone else we’ve drafted after the first round.
  2. I’m excited for how the team looks It’s just preseason <—— We are here If you think you know anything from week 1 of the regular season you don’t know ball This team was never going to be competitive. Only a fool would have been optimistic.
  3. It’s commonly brought up because it’s been a huge red flag. Purdy and Dak have flashed high levels of talent at various points. It’s really not a comparison. Starting NFL QBs show starting NFL QB traits. If they don’t, they’re not starting QBs for long.
  4. I had high hopes for him as a utility lineman that could play G/C. But he just doesn't seem like he has it at the pro level.
  5. Milton is a 6th round pick who arguably flashed more times in less than a quarter of preseason action than our first overall pick did his entire rookie season. Thats the issue. Yeah Milton's probably never going to be a starter. He's 24 years old and he has a metric poo ton to improve to be viable. He has to figure it out before he gets too far past his physical peak. Time is not on his side. You can say its the grass is always greener on the other side, but ya know.. sometimes it is really greener.
  6. I was not aware, but he was probably the worst guard in the NFL last year. So I am shocked.
  7. He got completely left in the dust but that route was sick for only a few minutes left in the 4th of a preseason game.
  8. Probably the most surprising performance. That dude was dog poo last year.
  9. Kyle Shanahan struggled. People dog on him, but I wouldn't mind losing Super Bowls compared to this.
  10. That's where I'm at. Should he be fired that early potentially? Is Tepper an idiot? Will we be completely screwed? I don't know, of course, and probably. But is it possible? I would say it certainly is. Let's not forget who's making the decisions here.
  11. The patriots played 4 of them last night. One of them won’t make the team.
  12. He's just a 6'5 body. He really didn't show anything that would make you want to even stash him on the PS.
  13. Understood, but Luton could run 2 plays better than Plummer could run any of them. Bad roster construction.
  14. I can almost guarantee he will be working with a new QB next year. Whether its here or elsewhere. Almost 100%. I'd put it at about 99%.
  15. I will always defend Kerry because he was our first drafted QB, and his coach failed him TBH. He's not faultless but he got it together and I respect that.
  16. Suped up? Maybe he's wish.com Kerry Collins. Come on man. Kerry wasn't nearly that bad. Especially after he quit being an alcoholic and played for the Giants. In the early 2000's era, a pocket statue was completely viable.
  17. This is a roster that is devoid of leadership. Particularly on the offensive side of the ball. Pete Carrol has always had veteran leaders to help keep people accountable. I'm not sure that sunshine and rainbows is going to work without that.
  18. Also if its about evaluation. Why are we so concerned with evaluating the worst guys on the worst roster in the NFL? So much that we don't find it useful to practice with our actual players.
  19. So it comes out earlier in the week that Bryce won't play, and then on game day we find out its 30 people? If that was the case, why not say that earlier in the week? Why not say well actually most of the starters won't play week 1, so its not special for Bryce. That wasn't brought up at all? Are we using deception in the preseason? Wouldn't you want to match the other team a little bit, so you can get something productive out of the game? It feels like they decided to hold everyone out because they were scared of how bad the performance would be. This is just an odd situation, and indicative of an inexperienced coach.
  20. He might not make the team, and honestly he might be terrible. He did almost throw a pick 6, and he's very raw for a 24 year old. But when you got nothing in the cupboard, how can you not take a guy?
