Goff has a great oline, a great rb tandam, a really good TE, a uber elite wr, another good wr and probably the best OC in the league to pair with a good defense. I think there are a ton of qbs in this league that could easily win in that situation

Agree 1000% with everything you said. However seattle can cut Smith to get out of his contract this offseason so that is where this started. Kaye was only mentioning the realistic vet free agent options that make the most sense. We are for sure signing someone and I simply cannot see a scenario where bryce is still on the roster or even on the bench because all of the dudes mentioned are probably better then him.

I dont think KC has had to reach into their bag of tricks and needed to score points. They are doing just enough to win games and leaning on their defense. I think you see a completely different offense in the playoffs. Maybe sooner if their #1 seed is being threatened

McVay knew he had to have a better qb to win the super bowl. Goff at the time simply didnt have the arsenal in his game to elevate a team and put it on his back to win games. Much like Smith in SF and KC, he was a good qb but the coaches realized he was never going to be good enough. His passing ability was limited much like goff. (Insert Canales logic with Bryce) Then you can do Jimmy G. When you know you just know. Its a qb driven league and you need a dynamic talent to win in the playoffs.

Not really, the oline is a young mans game. There are not a lot of tackles playing in their mid 30s. I suspect Morgan and co understand this and are trying to ride out the shitty contract fitt gave him
