Is There Anyone Other Than a T or QB for the Panthers at #6
PanthersGTI replied to Michael G's topic in Carolina Panthers
Defensive linemen. Pressure is always welcome and that's a position where rotation can really help too. -
Next year’s QB crop is better. Let’s wait until then.

I mean its always a pipe dream....you can't plan for that because you don't know how the season plays out. Like imagine betting your job ( GM ) on getting the QB you want next year. -
Oh, so he didn't do what you like so he owes you an answer? Who has the reins isn't even known really, you guys just speculated and decided that Rhule was in charge. Just like now some people have decided Rhule isn't in charge...but some people still think he is in charge. We don't know what has or hasn't changed, but looking at way they have operated this off season is promising and shows some ability to adjust thinking when something didn't work.
-
But he already did that.... He has already come out and said he was in over his head when he got the team and he was learning how to be an owner. His initial approach was incorrect and he made changes since then. The biggest being firing Hurney after he admitted it. Its been 1 season since then, I mean the results were not going to be over night but you can definitely tell the approach is better this off season.

I feel like except losing Reddick we are a better team. Gilmore was a bit of a luxury. Ionnadis or whatever should help bring pressure up the middle which helps take the sting out of losing Reddick some.

I feel like this doesn't need to be a news flash : White men, don't call men of color "Boy", especially when insulting him. It doesn't reflect well on you at all.

Chris Simms top QB is Matt Corral and why you should listen
PanthersGTI replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
So true. Made to seem like they can just...do it at will. If that was the case we'd be riding with Watson. -
It's going to be interesting. Sounds like we are going to have to fight the Steelers for him or hope they don't jump us. The options at 6 get more and more interesting. Pickett and Willis I think have solidifies themselves as top 10-12 picks at minimum.

Derrick Brown could use some bullying....
-
Could this guy be in play at #6 or is that a stretch given the talent this year ( legit question )? I like what I'm hearing. A mean streak on the O-Line would be breath of fresh air.
-
I think if this kid proves he can take the next step mentally processing offenses/defenses then its really adds intrigue to #6. Take Pickett who is more within the lines or take the bigger risk for the bigger ceiling. By all accounts he has been proving just that at the combine. His visits are going to mean a lot, I'd imagine they are going to test him hard. Isn't he also close to Cam? That could be big just from a "learning to learn in the NFL" type of perspective.

This kid is a beast. I liked this pick and still like it. Shut down CBs are not easy to find and are worth their weight in gold.
-
Since he keeps getting brought up a alot....Mac Jones should tell you everything you need to know about people on this boards scouting ability. People were going to quit the team if we drafted him last year.
-
I don't think its major...this guy was a 2nd string borderline 3rd string.

Three top 10 QB's refused to play for Matt Rhule.
PanthersGTI replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
What a stupid post. Stafford and Wilson want to win now, which we weren't setup for last year and are not this year. Watson considered us until the last hour it seems and really wants to be in his hometown where he has a connection with ownership. Like......all of those decisions could have been made with or without Rhule. -
As hinted by those guys we were getting Watson. Truth is, we really don't know the dynamic in the FO and there have been a lot of changes there personnel and structure wise.

David Tepper - Come on in here and get this humble pie
PanthersGTI replied to TheWiz's topic in Carolina Panthers
DAVID TEPPER!!! LISTEN TO ME!!!!!!!! -
Revisionist history. We ALL wanted that statue gone day 1. That was a move for everybody.
-
I really think this is the part people are missing in their over eagerness to complain. Tepper has even admitted as much publicly that he had a lot of learning to do on the job on how to properly setup the organization. His original ideas didn't work and he started to make changes and you can follow that right down to the changes in staff and the moves this offseason. His one big "flaw" now is he still believes in Rhule and has given him the chance to grow with a better staff around him. We really don't know how Rhule is viewed in the locker room so we can't say that its right or wrong. No player has said a bad thing about him though, not even hinted.

I agree 100% if you don't get Watson. You get this line set and figure out the QB next year. -
Every tweet being taken as gospel even if its contradictory. It's going to be a wild few days. I hope we land this guy, but won't be mad if we don't.
