If Bryce doesn’t produce, we moving on?
PanthersGTI replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
All I am going to say is this. No one plays like he did at the end of the last season and its a fluke. Kid was straight balling out there. You heard it every week from the opposing team. Doubt if you want but BY9 is here to stay, you should find something else to talk about. -
Steve Smith quickly became someone I just appreciate for his play. I gave him the benefit of the doubt with Mingo. and he proved me wrong lol. He thought Mingo could use his physicality to dominate. Now he's saying Nalo is short on that front. So probably means he will be just fine lol. Anyways JC and Mike Jack will give him plenty of practice working against physical corners.

Eh, I liked our draft especially the first 3 picks ( I think all 3 will be long term starters for us ) but I would be hesitant to use this as a win. For one someone already posted all the great draft grades they gave us on previous drafts, so they don't have a good track record. Secondly this makes sense because we just drafted guys they ranked high.

The only way I see it happening is if they bring him in as the backups backup because they want a leader on the defense in the locker room to help solidify the culture, especially with all the new additions on that side of the ball. So basically.....it won't happen. I appreciate everything Shaq did for this team, truly an underrated guy who had the misfortune of playing for some bad HCs/DCs/Teams starting with the end of Rivera's tenure.

Before Shadeur Sanders there was Ryan Mallet
PanthersGTI replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
I feel like its been proven over and over again at QB. You can't take the guy that was handed everything on a silver platter. This isn't a case of he is just so much better then everyone Colorado would be crazy to not recruit him and make him the man. This is a case of the coaches son getting special treatment. They retired his number for fugs sake. QB in the NFL is too hard, you have to be locked in. Sanders does not have the mental makeup to be that guy. Then you add all the flags about his processing ability and not being able to throw with anticipation/throw receivers open. Doesn't even have the arm to wow you and think there is something to work with and mold. -
Panthers reach deal with Muhsin 'Moose' Muhammad III
PanthersGTI replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Rooting for him. Was just reading up, doesn't seem like he got a lot of opportunities. Seems like his mental game is what he will have to overcome. Hopefully being close to home lets him focus. A little insight ( second hand, just what I saw posted ) : He has all the skills but was nonexistent under two different coaching staffs. He butted heads and was benched under Jimbo (for wearing sleeves under his uniform after the coaching staff told him not to ). Then under the new staff, he rarely saw the field – he had just 55 yards last season. When he saw the field, he either made the most impressive play of the game or would get an unsportsmanlike penalty. Just a bizarre case because he has the talent. Aggie here to provide some insight. As the other poster mentioned, Moose had a weird time at A&M and it didn't help that Jimbo's offense was painful and wide receivers never seemed to excel. His third year was promising but he was also competing with Evan Stewart, Noah Thomas, and Chase Lane who I'm pretty sure were all 5*s. Also Ainais Smith and Devon achane ran majority of the offense. That said, going into his last year with Jimbo, a couple guys like Lane and Achane left, and most Ags thought this would be the year Moose really steps up. Unfortunately as the other poster mentions, he disappeared into misconduct and coaching change. -
2 TEs in the top 10 is nuts. I don't buy it.

We got our coach. We got our QB. Dan Morgan is a DAWG.

Dan Morgan pre-draft press conference
PanthersGTI replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sounds like WR late. Which I am okay with, they seemed to have shown some ability to find talent late with Coker. -
Buddy you gotta let this one go. Even here on the huddle there is consensus that this is a bad idea. Do you know how impressive that is?

You don't get rid of a player you know plays well and is a locker room leader, unless your hand is forced, on the hope that his replacement works out. You can still draft Membou and let him learn a year and get up to speed so he can hit the ground running, but you don't take a cornerstone linemen and off load him when he still plays well and isn't causing your team fits with their cap hit. The whole "How many games will we win this season?" question is also based in fantasy. You have to build a culture and keep improving. You don't throw in the towel at the start of the season and jettison good players for the future when we are not even close to a point where we have to blow the roster up and start over. They set the foundation last year, you let them build on it.

I voted Graham on this one ( Walker on another similar one ). I think either are great picks. Walker is intriguing. I think he can be a homerun pick, but the question is how will he be used? I think with the 8th pick you want to make sure he leans more towards a master of 1 skill vs a jack of all trades. This is on the coaching staff IMO, they need to make sure he is pressuring the QB more then anything else. Graham was referred to as "A gift from God" by Harbaugh, that tells me all I need to know lol, kid is just a football player. A dawg if you will.

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6263121/2025/04/08/panthers-basketball-tight-end-signing-colin-granger/ Article about him and the process. I just started reading it.

New here?

That's a big dude. I like that he goes by Big Bird lol. Rooting for him.

You take Graham if he falls. If not it seems like we love Walker who I think will be the guy. Mykel Williams seems like their backup option if Walker is gone.

This is a Good Watch...Need More of This

Bobby Brown was posted. Interesting tidbit, Morgan said he can play NT, 4i and 5 due to how he is built. Also loved him film. That's a dawg! -
Too much of a project at 8 and not even worth it later in a deep class if the work ethic stuff is true.
