Anybody remember when the Panthers OC was no longer allowed to talk to Steve Smith? Good times!

Yeah, where does the buck stop when your franchise QB screws up the draft or forces changes in the coaching staff that don't work out? It is a recipe for chaos.

Yeah, reading the Seattle Times articles this off season about Wilson's displeasure with the Seahawks gave me the impression that he is more than just a little full of himself. Yes, Russell is one of the best at what he does, but now he wants to do the Coach's and Gm's jobs as well. If I had to guess, the Seahawks will be looking to trade Russell this off season if they can find a team desperate enough to give them several high draft picks or promising players in return.

Honestly, I don't see either Wilson or Rodgers wanting to come to Carolina. QBs who control their own destiny don't willingly play behind a feeble O line. However, even if Rhule agreed to allow a QB like Rodgers or Wilson to give their input on management decisions, I doubt he'd ever give them veto power. After listening to comments attributed to both these QBs during the off season, these guys won't be happy with just having input. They are looking for actual control of plays, schemes, players and coaches. There may be teams desperate enough to agree to such conditions, but I doubt Carolina is ready to make that deal with the devil.

Haters gonna hate, even if they have to make up their own false narrative by cherry picking Rhule's comments to do it.

Darnold is going to have to get back on track and put several good games between himself and today. I don't think most fans expect him to be perfect, he doesn't even have to win every week, but he can't continue to throw the ball into the waiting arms of defenders and expect to remain the starter beyond this season.

Well, I'd say, if Rhule decides to trade for a third starting QB, he had better be damn sure whoever he chooses is a significant upgrade. Not sure Cousins would be that guy.

Something else to keep in mind when it comes to Rodgers and Wilson. They both are looking to have input into decisions that are usually made by Head Coaches and GMs. I wonder if Rhule and Fitterer are open to that arrangement?

I don't see any of the vets (other than maybe Cousins) coming here without a new and vastly improved O line to protect them.

JR tried and came close a couple of times to winning a SB. While I appreciated his efforts, he had over 20 years to win a championship, it was time for a change and Tepper is that change. I'm gonna give Dave at least a few more years before drawing any conclusions about his efforts. We are only in Rhule's second season as HC and it shouldn't be unreasonable to allow a few more years to watch things play out. Changing a losing culture isn't as easy as flipping a light switch.

Winning cures everything. If the Panthers ever manage to put a string of winning seasons together it will be much tougher for opposition fans to secure tickets to the games.

Yeah, maybe the MVP Cam, the Pro Bowl Jake or even the best that he ever was Vinny T. could've pulled this one out for the Panthers. Nice little discussion to kill some time after a gut wrenching loss. However, the guy we brought to the dance (and the one we're going home with) looks to be suffering from PTSD. Who could blame him? Looks like Sam jumped from the frying pan into the fire when he got traded to the Panthers. Our problems as a team begin and end with Oline. Ever other issue is very manageable or injury related.

With CMC, Panthers would have likely won today, but they'll never have what it takes to be a serious contender until the O line is fixed.

How many of you that are praising the D today were calling for Snow's head last year? All that to say, if Brady gets a decent line next season, he could look much better in fans eyes than he does today.

So the guy that is best regarded for playing right tackle is playing left tackle and the guy that is best regarded for playing left tackle is playing right tackle? Must be Opposites Day.

A win against a bad team counts just as much in the standings as a win against a good team. If all the Panthers do is win their games against the also rans this season, they will likely secure a spot in the playoffs. After that, with a few lucky breaks, anything can happen. Ask the 49ers or the Patriots.

Seahawks were at their zenith when they had a great D and an excellent QB w/an awesome ground attack. The team's strategy has shifted in recent years to being centered on Wilson "cooking". The Legion of Boom (dominant D) and the ground game have taken a back seat. Also, Seattle's drafts in recent years are reminiscent of Hurney's years here in Carolina, so attempts to replace aging stars with suitable draft picks has largely been a failure.
